    scorpa tank

hey bondy like your engine case covers where you get them? also the scorpa wheel rim decals? been looking out for both without luck thanks
  2. OK, what gearbox oil are you using? as mentioned Motul 4Tworks well others use ATF found an old picture of mine & the set up is as per your picture so the nut mat have been on the outside originally
  3. And that’s what you need to change cant remember how but I’m sure I read about it on this site about 5 years ago when I first bought mine ill take a picture of mine over the weekend if it helps
  4. Have you moved the nut on the clutch lever arm to the end? By that I mean undo the assembly as it is now & re-assemble it exactly the same with the exception of the nut being the last thing to put on i also use mogul 4t gear box oil Clutch works perfectly on my 07 Scorpa hope this helps

    Engine oil

Sorry It’s the same oil for clutch & gearbox, drain from underneath but be careful as drain bolts made from toffee upgrade it with the one on trials & tribulation on similar thanks
  6. Try this link Found it when I googled the question hope it helps
  7. Best way to bleed clutch is via the slave cylinder using a syringe full of fluid connected to the nipple with a bit of tubing Takes minutes just need the right gear
  8. Hi Anyone out there using a bike rack on the back of a Freelander 2? If so does it work well? Are there any issues with handlebars touching the rear window? Thanks
  9. [look on Nigel Birketts site sure that there are pdf manuals you can download from there Sorry, new phone with predictive text. Post title = scorpa sy250 water pump impeller removal
  10. As you say Raceline dimpled steel plates with Haven fibre plates plus Elf oil make the clutch as good as anything I've ridden
  11. Hi Richard TBH not had chance to try it out yet, I've not even put fuel in it Took me ages to get someone to reproduce the decals in blue & then they did a poor job so I need to look at that again Might have a change in plans anyway as I'm looking at something else Thanks, Lee
  12. My eternal thanks or the step by step guide Got round to doing the job today, took me a couple of hours but the bikes running cleanly Saved me some money & learnt a new skill Thanks again
  13. Thanks ridgrunr Couldn't have got a better response, I'll let you know how I get on Lee
  14. Need to give my carb a clean but not done one before Watched a few videos & read about it on this forum so I'm sure I can do it just after any tips & advice It's a 2007 model Thanks in advance
  15. Had an 1999 315r & currently ride a 2007 SY both great bikes as always buy the best condition bike for your budget You won't go wrong with either bike as long as it's been looked after Spares shouldn't be a problem for either bike
  16. finally got hold of a long ride tank for my 07 Scorpa (Pedro from T3moto in Toledo, Spain) & now need to change the decals to fit in with the rest of the bike looked for blue long ride stickers on line without any luck, does anyone out there know of any? alternatively I'm thinking about getting some made using the existing ones as a template again does anyone have any recommendations of who to use? didn't want to go down the paint it blue route but what are people experiances of painting plastic? thanks, Lee
  17. long ride tank was delivered on Friday, Pedro from T3moto in Toledo, Spain supplied it just need to decide what to do about making it fit in with the rest of the bike now looked for blue long ride stickers on line without any luck so thinking about getting some made using the existing ones as a template didn't want to go down the paint it blue route but what are people experiances of painting plastic? any recomendations? thanks, Lee
  18. Been looking for a long ride tank & seat unit for my 07 2t for a long time without any luck Seen one on a Spanish website for €300 or so for the later sherco engined sr 280 Does anyone have an experience of these? & do they fit the 07 model? Thanks, Lee
  19. so lineaway, how does this work? I change the sprockets to the sizes you've suggested, I follow that what happens then? you start the bike, it ticks over nicely in neutral, you pull the clutch & put it in gear then let out the clutch without twisting the throttle & you don't move until you rev it? & then you just stay in the one gear then roll off the throttle to stop plus using the brakes? sorry if it's a dumb question! thanks, Lee
  20. hi lineaway been thinking about buying a TY80 for my Grandson & I'd wondered if you can gear it down as you say so that the clutch doesn't matter have you done this & if so what do you recommend? thanks Lee
  21. thanks for the advice, helicoil it is then got some good advice off Nigel Birkett on this subject if anyone else has the same problem, don't be tempted to try a longer bolt as it will foul the internals
  22. hi all just dropped the oil on my 07 2t Scorpa & as the drain plug (17mm) came out so did some of the thread from the drain plug hole in the engine tried a few things with no luck but when I've taken the brass washer off the drain plug I can get it to tighten in the hole but don't want to over tighten again fired the bike up & it seems to be holding but I don't want to risk dumping the oil whilst riding so what's the best option? do I put an helicoil insert in & if so does anyone recommend one or do I drill & tap the existing hole up a size or 2 & fit a new drain plug & again does anyone recommend anything for both options I guess I'll need to flush out the engine once I'm done to ensure there's no swarf in there so is there anything anyone recommends for this? thanks, Lee
  23. hi lineaway been thinking about getting a TY80 to get my grandson interested in trials, it would be his first bike so I am concerned about how he'd cope with gears so I'm interested to hear more about your comment 'The trick on the TY was to gear it down enough the clutch did not matter' he's 7 & big for his age so I'd rather avoid going down the route of an auto only to trade up pretty soon for something bigger, I look at some of the prices knocking around for other bikes & a TY80 is better value plus we might get to work on it together more especially if I buy something needing work thanks, Lee
