Good points. I had not thought about Lead and Steel being dissimular metals inviting galvanic reactions. I have the high compression gasket installed so I may need race fuel and the choice of fuel came about by trying to eliminate ethanol. I run this same blend in my Husqvarna 125-167 so it was a benefit not to change fuels.

After my first real ride, I've decided not to mess with it. This bike is a monster.

Evo 300 I'm running Avgas 100ll 4:1 with Sunoco 110 leaded race, mixed 80:1 Maxima super. Am I doing the motor a disservice running leaded?

I've been able to slide around on the ice about 400yds. Kinda like riding a wet noodle. Power delivery on map 1 was not too crazy, at least not right off idle. The throttle seems very smooth and controllable. I only dabbed about four times on the ice so I can see the potential for when the ground thaws out.

Yep, that did it. It's pretty cold here with ice on the snow so I cant really ride it yet. Shipping was delayed and its been North Pole since, but at least I can finger it. I'll run tuner cleaner and dialectric when its a bit warmer. Thanks

Have a new to me 13 evo 300. Finally mustered the nerve to switch to Map2 setting and found that pressing the button does nothing. It will press down but will not click into the down (#2) position. Is there a process that I'm not aware of? Sweet Bike!

A used 300 evo will be about double your budget here in the States. In your pricerange Sherco seems the best bargain, giving you a newer lightweight unit. But you never know what can pop up. I started with a simular amount that I was willing to spend and soon found the pickings to be slim. Had to dig deeper in the wallet to get what I wanted. Good luck.

Just an uninformed question here, but how will a trials bike act with 12/52t and is that even possible on a trials?

Enduros take up alot more area. We will have about 5 acres of course and 5 acres of parking/camping.
