  1. Hi....Welcome..what's the question?
  2. Hi....I take axle out after every trial to lube and check pads for wear at same time hence no such problem.
  3. Agreed just enjoy and improve at a pace that suits you.......good luck.
  4. Hi welcome to the forum,it's a long time since I have seen a square barrelled villiers .Hope you enjoy your trials I assume you have joined the Eastbourne club? I'm a past member but still ride for the Gest club so might see you sometime.
  5. As said pressures seem right but you don't say what gear you you were in, always go at least one gear higher than in the dry and be smooth using the throttle, remember no spin equals grip! Weight on the back wheel and should work. regards......
  6. Hi.....paulr1983 Your welcome.
  7. Splat shop....that's where I get mine ,brilliant service and very knowledgeable. here is a link http://www.splatshop.co.uk/
  8. Paul....as I'm not a mechanic I had the valves checked by one and they are fine,as you say I do not give throttle hot or cold however on Sunday out of frustration I did try full throttle and kicked her over then kicked again with no throttle and away she went!!! However this was a one off. I will check the jets at week-end. Many thanks for your input.
  9. 2stroke4stroke.....the idea was to see if the cdi unit was breaking down? Mind you i'm no mechanic as you may have guessed!
  10. Pauls320....Hi mines an 09 I'll try the jet suggestion offered by not ron. Thanks for your replies.......Peter.
  11. Hi...not ron ,starts fine when cold no choke ,no throttle and after a couple of prods away she goes. Friend of mine on Sunday suggested lowering the needle one place to weaken as may be running too rich, haven't looked yet but will @ week-end.Also going to try removing plug cap leaving plug in and fitting cap to another plug outside to see if good spark under compression.
  12. Hi..... ref the title everyone seems to know the problem with my bike and hot starting and some non judgemental advice has been offered and I thought I had it sorted but on Sunday last it did behave in a fickle way with for no reason, sometimes starting first kick sometimes taking 3/4 mins to start! does anyone know if the hot start kit works????? If so what difference does it make. I really love the bike when riding but the starting is an issue. Any help(constuctive ) out there????? thanks Pete.
  13. As se Lucas said exs on ebay should be able to help I have recently bought a set for my sherco 4t sure they will help you, I found them very helpful.
  14. Just to let you know ordered and have now used Peek and it's better than solvol, done a great job on my steel front pipe. Many thanks Carl for your link.
  15. Hi Carl, many thanks for the heads up re the polish I'll give it a go.
  16. Hi the addict, not sure what peek polish is? Can you advise please? Thanks

  18. Hi...any time now, usually buy mine in August.
  19. Thanks Copemech, the bike runs ok ticks over nicely but on removing plug looked rather black instead of biscuit only other thing is has stalled going downhill a couple of times will try as you suggest.
  20. Well three trials down!! and getting used to the 4T,first two trials were ok re starting easy peasy especially when cold as advised no choke,no throttle two easy kicks then a firm prod and away she goes even when hot until the last trial. Just changed from std plug to a Platinum one but on taking out the std plug looked as if running a bit rich, any idea ref setting for mixture screw. Thanks in advance....Pete.
  21. Many thanks, good video and as stated gives a great insight to what the SSDT is all about.
  22. ****ards, hope they get caught and receive suitable punishment though I doubt either will happen.
