    Beta Techno

Hi, I've got a 250 Techno '97 and my lad has a 125 Techno '97 (older Zero engine). We've been lucky, only ever suffered fuel spillage when a spec of dirt got into carb. Issues/advice we have found on our bikes to watch out for ..... Rear Suspension linkage - check for play - if it's not too bad then it can be re-packed with grease, if it's bad and needs new bearings etc. it could be expensive Wheel bearings - check for play - the bearings are not too expensive but you'll see posts on here about what a pig they can be to get the old onces out. Check the Chain and Sprockets - a full new set will set you back
  2. Just trawled the Eurosport TV schedule looking for the next rounds. At the moment this is what they're saying (not sure if the times are UK or European) Granada Round Eurosport Wed 1st Feb at 19:00 Eurosport 2 Thu 2nd Feb at 14:30 Milan Round Eurosport 2 Tues 7th Feb at 16:00
  3. re the ongoing debate on putting drain holes in the flywheel cover and cleaning out after every ride ..... my mate suggested also using ignition sealer spray. Anyone else use this ? What sort's best ? WD40 any good ?
  4. Keith, checkout the schedule for Wed 25 Jan afternoon. It looks like they're gonna show UK then French rounds back to back. Let's hope they stick to it.

  7. Hey, thanks for the info guys I really appreciate it. betarick - LOL I used to live about a mile grom Westerbys and used to take my pushbike there as a kid. Never though of him. Thanks. If I get stuck I'll certainly call in. charliechitlins - the spokes were lost before I bought the bike. I was worried that if I leave it the wheel may eventually suffer. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll see if they do appear too tight. arun1664 - Yeah, it's just 'cos the're so closely packed that to get one nipple/spoke in it looks like I need to remove several. Thanks for the warning about breaking some, I'll make sure I get plenty of spares just in case. Thanks again, Richard.
  8. Hi, Has anyone any advice/tips on fitting new spokes on my 97 Techno? I have several missing both front and rear. It looks like you can't get the new nipples in without removing others first .. sounds like a recipe for disaster. Any ideas would be really appreciated. Thanks.
  9. As the problem seems to be with the angle of the bike, have you checked that there is no dirt or water in the bottom of the fuel tank that's getting through when the back wheel is raised? What about similar in the air box ?
  10. ... And has anyone any advice on fitting new spokes on my 97 Techno? I have a few missing. Looks like you can't get the new nipples in without removing others first .. sounds like a recipe for disaster.
  11. You could try contacting John Lampkin. I have asked a couple of questions and received helpful replies. Try http://www.beta-uk.com/contact.htm Regards ..... Richard
