  1. Surely this puts an end to the sage "Can 4 strokes complete with 2 stokes". So I guess Dougie not being on the podium is down to him rather than bike. Huge shame but he's still fighting so there's hope. Can't take anything away from Toni, what a star!!!
  2. Hi, I checked on Sky last and the Eurosport times are currently UK times so, amended ........ 18 Jan 14:00 ES2 - Malaga TDN 22 Jan 22:15 ES2 - Granada Indoor Round 1 25 Jan 21:00 ES2 - Granada Indoor Round 1 28 Jan 13:00 ES2 - Granada Indoor Round 1 29 Jan 22:15 ES2 - St Petersburg Indoor Round 2
  3. Hi, As per 2006, I'll try and feed you any info I find re Trials on TV. Here's the current info I have. 18 Jan 14:00 (1pm UK time) ES2 - Malaga 22 Jan 22:15 (9:15pm UK time) ES2 - Granada 25 Jan 21:00 (8:00pm UK time) ES2 - Granada 28 Jan 13:00 (12:00pm UK time) ES2 - Granada 29 Jan 22:15 (9:15pm UK time) ES2 - St Petersburg (Please remember, the Eurosport TV schedules can be a tad fluid.) I'm struggling to get time to trawl the Eurosport website regularly. Anyone else who gets chance, please drop any findings on here. Ta.
  4. Hiya and welcome. Really, for getting a bike to fire you need fuel and a spark. If you're sure there's fuel then focus in the spark (There's been quite a bit posted on here about Beta electrics.) Suggest you pull out the plug, put the cap on, ensure the plug is touching the engine and kick her over looking for a nice meaty spark. Sorry of this sounds a bit basic but it's a good place to start ..... Let us know how you get on.
  5. Hi Frank, I'm not sure about the older bikes but I guess it's the same as the newer bikes ..... you can buy the packing in sheets .... about
  6. It was posted on the GAS GAS forum back in May 2005. http://www.trialscentral.com/forums/index....paper&st=15
  7. With such fantastic coverage last year culminating in those brilliant pictures and videos from Sheffield, I think it's time we rallied round to boost TC coffers in readiness for 2007. I for one feel that
  8. Ahhh, but I was watching Andy. I'll bet he'd say it was all worth it just to spend as much time as he did with the scorecard girls
  9. TRUE!We were a little annoyed that at least 50% of the audience left either during (!!!) or immediately after the last race. Okay so your keen to get home but the riders and organisers deserved a decent round of applause during the ceremony after such a fantastic night. I have to say that when Dougs footrest snapped off during his last race with Fugi, Fuji stopped to chech that Doug was okay before finishing the race. Not many riders would have broken their 'tunnel vision' to check on their opponent. Well Done Fuji - HUGE RESPECT!!
  10. Merry Chrsitmas Everyone. KTMSprocket, for starting out most bikes will be fine, obviously depending upon the condition of the bike. I'd suggest, provided the cost & condition are fine, the next point to consider is backup. As Jetset said, there's huge amounts of backup for Beta right here on TC. Zebedee, you might want to look at why your rear brake is rubbish - We've 2 '97 Technos and the rear brakes are fine. I'd guess it needs bleeding or new pads (WD40 overspray etc. can kill the braking effect of said pads - I'd know!!!)
  11. Thanks Gizza5, brightened my day.
  12. Thanks Andy, you've cheered up a sad saturday night surfer.
  13. I use a little tool called SnagIt. Not sure at the moment where you can get it (download?) but's really useful for this sort of thing. Just draw a box around any part of the screen and it puts it into the paste buffer.
  14. That put a smile on my face. Thanks Perce.
  15. Have you thought about making your own or modifying a standard one so the hitch bar is removable ?
  16. I'm at work at the moment but will look at this tonight, it sounds almost unbelievable Anyone know if this could be put onto a DVD ? Maybe it could be an extra Scott charity earner - purely to cover the DVD costs, of course
  17. Billboat, it's not really a workshop manual and doesn't have any technical stuff in it. I'm sure there's people on here who could answer your questions tho - alternatively give your dealer a call - John Lampkins are usually really helpful. Sorry I can't be more help.
  18. Got any jobs going at your place ? I have an office job and can only begin to imagine the looks I'd get if I tried that. I'd love to spend all day in a workshop playing. Go on, how long did you have to practice to get to that stage, honestly? Bet it wasn't just a few minutes every day. To get paid to do that must be just the best
  19. Glenn, I managed to contact Beta in Italy and they sent me a manual for the 97 Techno 250 FOC. Try emailing them info@betamotor marking the email for the attention of Gianluca Olivieri Let me know how you get on. If you struggle I could photocopy the one I have (if I knew anyone with a scanner I'd get it scanned and online) Richard.
  20. Hi Stuart, thanks for that. I missed the Channel 5 showing and don't have Sky Sports (Trials is not on often enough to warrant it!). Which channels are the repeats on ? Please let us know if you learn of any other showings. Ta.
  21. Thanks Perce. Yeah, Malc pointed you out. What a fantastic job you guys did.
  22. Hey Perce, Just wanted to thank you again for the briefing. We arrived late and all the programmes were sold out. Without this we would have been stuffed!!! PS Who was observing at section 70 (Goats)? He provided much conversation, amusement and entertainment for me and the lad all afternoon and gave my lad his old programme. Please thank him for me.
  23. Thanks Vinnie. The link worked okay for me, you have some good pictures there!!
  24. Yeah, Thanks Perce, some really useful info.
