  1. Thanks Kevin! I hope this is a 74 YZ 80, The bike is grey with a red swoosh on the tank. I bought a new carb from bike bandits, but its for a TY, looks the same though! How many turns out on the air/fuel screw for the proper setting and also any Idea on how much compression this little cylinder shoud have? Once again, thank you so much for the info Kevin? sam
  2. I'm working on a 1974 YZ 80, I have no history on this little bike, seems like the same motor as a TY 80. The head is warped, I sent it off and had it machined, have not yet reassembled. My question is, Should I diconnect the oil injection and run it premixed? I just do not understand why this head warped other than not a proper amount of oil in fuel mixture? sam
  3. Chris, This could be fun! http://trialstrainingcenter.com/TrialsTrainingDaysAd07.pdf
  4. Chris, I have not made a decision on which brand I'll switch to, I'm going to test ride 3 brands in the near future. Are you and Wild Bill riding? I imagine you are barried in snow up there. Hey, what about the horse areana? Keep warm! sam
  5. Wow, in March and April I can ride 4 NITRO events! They do not conflict with MOTA and TI's. YIPEE! It's going to be the best season ever! sam
  6. Zippy, I was told last night, that is the 2007 Shedual! I was confused because to the left of the web page it says MOTA 2006, nothing stating 2007, shoot I can not remember last years schedual, all looks the same. sam
  7. Is Michigans trials event schedual up to date? Thanks. sam

    Left Fork Leg?

Well Zippy, I'm feeling foolish for asking such a silly question here on this world wide forum! I'm a helpless person when it comes to mechanical stuff, well life in general actually. Yes, I believe I figured it out! Off topic: I rode Sunday with your fearless trials team leader at Ray's famous indoor MTB park(http://www.raysmtb.com/). That Biff is a courages person, he was jumping a 12' box jump on a XC bike! We rode 4 solid hours, the place is a blast, I shot some footage of him jumping in the foam pit. You will have to come along the next time we go, very few kids, most people 25 yrs and older and some cute ladies riding as well. sam

    Left Fork Leg?

Changing my fork seals on my 2003 Mont. The left leg, to put the bolt back in the bottom of the leg she spins, the manuel says I need a special tool to tighten that bolt? My friend said there is a trick to do it with out the special tool, he can not remember. Anyone know this trick? sam

    Radiator Leak?

My 03 Montesa has a very small radiator leak. As far as I can tell the leak is located at the start of the spout where you fill fluid. I have checked over and over again the cap, but that is not it, I'm sure its the bottom side of the spout right at the flush spot of the radiator, at the seam. I imagine the spout/cap had slammed the fuel tank in some funky way creating the leak. Any tips on what to use to possibly seal this crack? Or should I take it to a radiator shop? J&B Weld maybe. sam

    $8800.00 US dollars!
  14. Be cool Andy, I was having problems at my end loading, not sure what the problem is, I'm in absolutly no hurry for a answer! Once again, I'm very interested in a GasGas for 07, I'll be moving from a Montesa 2003 which has been a great bike, but the GasGas'es I have rode 06, seem so light and ride smooth. This air cleaner box issue is one I would like a little feed back on! Thank You, sam.
  15. Just curious, I've talked to a couple of Pro owners now and that is the one complaint, keeping water/dirt out of the air box. Has this been a big issue with anyone else? sam
  16. YaHoo! More for the gunfight! Viva Montesa! Hoosier Hillbilly Sam!
  17. Hey Pimp Daddy, Your trials rocks, literally. I'm so confused I thought you were a BlueGrass musician not a Rapper? Biff should continue to wear his crown and cape at Enon! sam
  18. I loved how they modified 29r's section on Sunday, so biff's crown would not get hung up in the branches! sam
  19. Zippy, Just teasing you brother! You will get to see some real rocks Sunday, seee ya at Enon. sam
  20. Zippy, You Michigan Mafia guys sure are cocky!
  21. Sure would be nice if all the Nationals could pay a overall two day lowest score cash purse to the Pro class.
  22. Vermontville, Very fun event, great sloppy Joe's sandwiches. hope the sections are tough, tough, tough! sam VIVA MONTESA
  23. Hey Biff, Lansing and Enon are about it! Maybe, once a month we need to have a fun event at my place thru the winter!
  24. Rlracer, Thank you for the prompt info! I'm from Northern Indiana. I've decided to stay home and save dough. The fish fry sounds very good though! sam
  25. RLRacer, So, Masters is the next class below Pro? And how many sections per day? Also, how long is the loop? Sorry for all the questions, but I need to know if I'm going to get my money's worth after driving 11 hours!
