What jets with a 290 sherco then. it is an 08 and i have the JJH needle as well. I have the 48, 120 currently and it is running so bad!!
  2. Buy the TRP shock (Jitsie i think it is also branded as). More expensive than the stock, but so much better. Plus they are rebuildable. Got one for myself and it has made a massive difference with shifting the rear wheel around and launching up rocks etc. Trialsendurodirect.com sell them i think. Or do a google search. In Australia they cost about $800au ($200 to rebuild as good as new) and i think a stock one is about $400, but not sure about the exact cost of a stock one.
  3. Could be the seals in the master cylinder. Or the issue could be with pads or the disc.

Hi guys, Have been thinking about buying a Jitsie / TRP rear shock for my 08 290. Nothing wrong with my original one, just a few guys here rave about them and wanted to get as many opinions as possible? Do the top riders use them or do they stick with the original one? Thanks

these days a divorce would cost you a fortune and you would not be able to afford anything!!!
  6. thanks for all the input. Was just interested as had a plug die suddenly! It was a near new 08 that has done very little work, put on my flatslide, so therefore the mixture should have been fine as it had run on my 06 for 6 months without issue. Perhaps is was the previous carb and runnning rich to run the bike in! Will give the Nippon Denso standard plug a go and see how it compares to the NGK as the Nippon Densos were great on the technos. Copemech & Nigel Dabster is VX a brand of plug??? or is it a number for a Champion or other brand? The NGK i have been running is BP5ES. That is what is recommended for conditions here in Oz! Thanks
  7. If i was to buy a Nippon Denso iridium plug it is $20au (10 pounds), reg. are $2.75. Reg. NGK are about $4 or $22 for the iridium!! Guess I will have to get them from NZ!!
  8. A quick question. Are iridium plugs worth paying 5-6 times the price of regular spark plugs. Currently i am running an NGK and have run Nippon Denso in the past. I have a sherco 290 08 with the keihin flatslide carb as is run on the cab. models. Thanks in advance
  9. Hi there, I have an 06 sherco and the exhaust is very clogged with oily s@#t. How do you clean this out. I understand that there is a material in there, but i am down on power and response as a result, you can hear how clogged up the bike is. Any help appreciated.
