  1. Bputt, Where do you get one of the sherco built reiger shocks and what is the cost?
  2. When mine was making noise i changed the clutch plates and the noise went away. The plates were quite worn and from my experience the plates on the ossa don't last anywhere near as long as my sherco.
  3. Hi there, Anyone know where i can get a spanner to adjust the spring on the rear shock. Don't like the idea of using a hammer and screwdriver or a hammer and a piece of wood! I find the rear shock really softens up too quick. I am not heavy <75 kg but find it bottoms out way too easy! Thanks
  4. I was referring to the company Duke video. Your under 3 min video clip had more quality and perspective than the entire review of the outdoor season that was produced by Duke videos.
  5. Too bad as that video was so much better than the S@#t that duke produce and is the only review available. A super video that actually shows how difficult the sections are and how skillful the riders are! Great work
  6. http://www.rebildtrialsport.dk/LinkClick.aspx?fileticket=6p_zW0Odq-4%3d&tabid=36 try this. It may work!
  7. Thanks Borus, then when you add the comp head does that then add more? if so how much? Would just love companies to use graphs that give the whole picture so as a a consumer can make a more informed decision, can understand reasons why they dont always do so though!
  8. That graph can be misleading. There is no scale on the vertical axis, yes it tells there is more across the rev range but not how much. Depending on the scale that could be .1hp up to 100hp, an exaggeration i know but the only thing it tells me is more, not by how much. They use the same type of graph with regard to the high comp head. No way of really putting a figure on it, not even a percent.
  9. idea how much more power? and where in the rev range?
  10. My selector broke too, and it was not due to any hit on it.
  11. I am waiting to i can find someone who has them in stock so i can get one. anyone know where i can get them from. The Jitsie dealer he doesnt have them yet.
  12. Want a tractable bike then get an Ossa. But that said, ride them all and make up your own mind. All the bikes are great though!
  13. 2 reasons why trials is attracting less riders. simple! Cost of bikes and land to practise on. Her in Australia we have the stop rule and use the 90 second rule. Those in the top grades do stop as the sections require it, there is no stuffin around as after 90seconds they get a five, observers have a stop watch. Those not at the top level who ride the easier sections often dont stop, finish in under a minute. To make it easier for observers with the going back rule that is easy. You CAN go back, if you foot when going back a one, twice a two, make the footing rule the same for when moving forward and back. that way it is easier for observers. No people wont take longer, well not more than 90 seconds as they get a 5! Just my ideas
  14. Good job, i think you will love it. they get better as they bed in but the traction is awesome. first thing i did was change to a fast action throttle. Don's shop is about 3km from home so real good, will be waiting til the farjdo model i think, see what goodies it has.
  15. Love it. The air cleaner access is something i was hoping they would fix for the 2012. mine is a 2011. had it since about Feb. will be getting another one, perhaps the racing model if they bring one out.
  16. The clutch frees up significantly as you put more hours in, still hard to get into N, never had a problem on the shercos i had owned but then i got them in sections too, not an issue with the ossa, the trick is to be in 2nd, give it a blip of the throttle and a light touch down to find netural. it could also require bleeding as mine did and a bit of adjustment.

    2012 improvement?

I am still curious to what issues they have had. Here they were hard to start, but now fine. The only other thing is that the clutch is heavier, but again this lightens up as everything beds in, same as the suspension which starts off rock hard but after a few hours is awesome. Not attacking anyone, just curious about what to look out for that could go wrong with my Ossa so i can prevent it.

    2012 improvement?

What issues have you heard about the Ossa? Please share.

    New Scorpa

List price is same as the gasgas.
  20. If this happens as the wheel is turning it could be a warped disc!

Well here i go and i am going to be very, very picky. I like the candy apple green Ossa that a dealer in the UK has prepared (i don't like the frame colour), the Ossas that came to Oz didn't have a stand (that said the importer has rectified this and many A and expert riders here remove them any way), The transmission requiring a hole drilled (once again importer has rectified this), some riders have stated it felt more like a 250cc than 272cc (my bet is because they have a slow action throttle from standard, mine has been replaced and big difference), the clutch is heavier (heavier, not heavy, but comparing this to a sherco which is the lightest in my experience), the air filter is more difficult to remove than the new sherco (but what isnt?), takes longer to remove a spark plug (a whole 4 more screws), ensure you loc tight the disc bolts as one of the rears coming even a bit undone could cause a big cost (again should be done on all bikes), it was difficult to start but the latest map has rectified this and dont forget those torx (but this is a personal opinion and the smaller ones i have replaced) My advice is look me up at the next NSW state round and have a ride, sure you will want to trade your sherco in! I hope that next years production bike has the duel map on it! So as you can see i have been critical. all the things i have said are minor and most have already been sorted out. Ossa must be confident they offer a awesome warranty on their product!

I guess the only way we will find out is if people sell them after a year and change like a number of people did with the four strokes here. They raved about them but the next year they had changed back to the 2 stroke. I think mine is great, has a few little things to sort but for a first off they are awesome.

How do you tell the difference?

The torx bolts suck! Guess it is because i am used to a more 'sung' fit!

My problem is getting to ride it as every one wants to steal it!!
