Engine/transmission Oil
Slapshot On my 2004 Beta 250 i use PJ1 Clutch tuner. Have also used Putoline GP10. Both work fine, changed every 3 trials.

Ok, thanks for the info. I will weld up the grooves and polish back to riginal shape for now. Will probably look at fitting a pad of sorts.

Query for you knowlegable people. Is there meant to be a slipper pad on the B40 duplex chain tensioner. Mine seems to run on the metal adjuster bracket !! It is also badly grooved, where the chain has been running. Is their supposed to be a pad of sorts ?

Uncle Buck, sounds that you have just solved my problem. Has anyone had PVL fitted to their B40 as alternative to Boyer ?. Would this help with starting the engine once it was warm ?.

OTF, Thanks for the info regarding oil leaks, wondered why the bit was plugged. The b40 has boyer ignition fitted, which starts ok first kick and runs away fine, 2nd kick is a nightmare to start, getting over compression. I have considered fitting pvl as a second option, but thought the boyer was ok?. If you find the valve lifter that would be great for just now.

Hoping to run the mecatecno at a club trial this weekend. Just need a wee bit info confirmed by you knowlegable people. Engine oil capacity & type, 500cc 75w pji clutch tuner ? Plug type B8es ?. Mixture 50: 1. Any one know if rear wheel is the same as any other bikes ?. Any one know if rear guard is the same as any other bikes. Do these bikes normally sound fairly loud and ringy from the top end.

Thanks for help people I will be looking at a good seconhand 10d.Or a new 350d. The 20d is out of my price range. I will look at the canons now. Wasn't aware of the problem with the panasonic. Not worth the risk. Kenny

Magnesium Fork Welding
Thank you all for the help. Have ordered sifbronze No23 rods today. Both fork legs are broken at spindle clamp, by previous owner. I assume enthuisiasm got the better of ability Will get rods next week and see how it goes.

Magnesium Fork Welding
I have a set of magnesium alloy forks that require welding. Both bottom lugs are snapped for holding the spindle. The plan is to build up one side with fresh metal and re-drill. My work place is capable of the welding, but the welder requires what type of magnesium alloy rod to use. He thinks a 30% rod, but would like verification Can anyone please help.

TFT, This bike is running (Well bouncing) Only needs a rear mudguard & rear shock service (No damping). But you have to try and keep the oddballs alive. Any one any sensible ideas on a similar rear mudguard i could use.

Have aquired a mecatecno skywalker. Bike is running but requires rear shock rebuild. Has anyone any information relating to engine / frame parts list / etc. Also looking for a similar rear mudguard to replace broken. Any help on these bikes would be appreciated.
