Yeah, the piston and gaskets/seals turned up late yesterday. I think i'll get it re-plated..

I'm freshening up the engine from my 87' garelli as been as it's never been touched since new, and not sure wether to have the cylinder replated or have a steel liner pressed in instead??? Originally the hiro engines have a plated bore!! What do people think about this???

I've got the engine out to sort out a clicking 6th gear and to fit a new piston kit, but i need to get the cylinder replated?? anyone know where i can get it done at a reasonable price??? Heres a pic of it when i first bought it, now its got new high rise silver renthals and renthal grips.

Usually its easiest to cut into the wire going to the top coil and the other to an earth on the frame, so it shorts the coil.

The easiest way to touch in the scratches on the black rims is with a black permenant marker pen..!!!

I cant believe people are still having hot start issues on the newer 3.2 shercos!!!! my 08 scorpa 250f has never given me any trouble starting hot or cold, i think its got the dellorto with the accelerator pump!!! the only trouble i've had is with a bit of clutch drag, but that was sorted by using a different engine oil!! hope you get sorted..

The 250 will be easier to learn on, the 01' sherco 290 was a bit like a cr500!!!! a beast!

Is the throttle position sensor adjustable??? (turns on a pivot and locked in position with a screw or bolt) It is on my fuel injected quad and if it moves it is hard to or wont start!!!! i have to set mine with a multimeter.

It was my red kt and it was a real ex-works bike!!!!!! and the very first works bikes were red not green it was verified as a works bike before i bought it..! was in a bad state when i got it, but it came nice in the end. I sold it to someone from down south!!
