  2. The third and final round of the WTC Sanctioned Outlaw Series will take place this weekend at Baseline, near Rocky Mountain House Alberta. -. Vintage Saturday, Modern Sunday. - Directions on the ATRA website.
  3. Steve Saunders can supply heavier springs for your Beta at a reasonable price.
  4. A very wet day with slippery conditions, at the ATRA Trial last weekend in Falun, Alberta. - 28 riders showed up, and rode three laps of 8 sections - a couple had to be scrapped because of the weather. It was young Graylin Giesbrech, who surprised many in the junior class, by taking the win on his Beta Rev 80, while Wyatt Pospisil (Beta) finished ahead of Brett Lueers (Beta) in Intermediate, with Ian Buttar (GG) 3rd. Chris Tronnes beat out his son in the Advanced class of just two riders, while Craig Parfitt (Beta) showed the way in the Senior class - Doug Harrish (Hon) took the Vintage, - Jacek Jablonski (GG) dabbed less that Ben Pospisil (Beta) in Expert, and Kenny Knight (Sherco) was the top sportsman
  5. The Evo 200 is an amazing bike, and should be more than up to the task.
  6. The first Trial of the year takes place this coming weekend at Falun Alberta - Sanctioned by World Trials Canada details can be obtained from the ATRA Club website, complete with map etc.
  7. It's all technique - try starting with the bike on a bike stand so that you have your right foot on the right footpeg, while kicking with your left - this gets your body up higher and makes it easier - you can also lean against your van or a tree etc to do the same thing - tip ! turn your bars slightly to the right, so that if the bike does kick back, it doesn't drive your knee into the handlebar. - I bet a few on this forum have had that happen, especially the older members - As Billy T says, You canna be timid.
  8. The first two rounds of the 2013 WTC Canadian Trials Championship are now in the History books - The weekend was a huge success, with 113 riders entered for the three days, which included the Outlaw Vintage on the Holiday Monday. The weather was just about perfect and the large campsite proved to be a big hit with the families who traveled from all over Western Canada ( No Eastern riders made the long trip out West) For the full results click on to www.trialscanada.com
  9. The stage is pretty much set for this coming weekends big event at Scotch Creek, British Columbia. - A last minute change of venue, has meant a whole new course layout, in a totally different area, high above the beautiful Shuswap Lake. - but with the help of the local Trials riders, we are now looking forward to once again hosting a memorable National, followed by the Vintage Outaw Trial on the Holiday Monday. The new location, features lots of challenges for all classes, plus a very technical loop. - Round One starts at 9am Saturday, with Round Two 9am Sunday - Vintage goes at 10am Monday - For directions to the campsite/start - click on WWW.Trials Canada.com - or www.outlawtrials.com - or email daverhodes@shaw.ca
  10. THE WTC CANADIAN NATIONAL TRIAL ROUNDS 1-2 ARE A "GO" AT THE NEW LOCATION NEAR SCOTCH CREEK BC -ON MAY 18/19th CHECK OUT DETAILS ON MY BLOG AT www.outlawtrials.com - NEW POSTER WILL BE UP SHORTLY>
  11. Why don't you just call John Lampkin - They are easy to adjust.
  12. Good points by both other people that responded, although we have never heard of front end washing out on an Evo - they do turn tighter than any other bike on the market. - The 09 did have smaller rear wheel bearings, which needed greasing with "Good" stuff - Beta went back to the 6004 bearing for 2010, Re: Frame cracking - only a few of the early 09's had this problem, we had none in Western Canada. - As Chuck says all warranty items are not an issue with Beta. - The 2013 bike has a totally new frame using Hydro forming - looks great, is lighter and also holds more fuel - sidestands on earlier models. like most bikes were poor - the alloy 2013 is great, just like the Sherco unit. - Pegs are strong, but not everybody likes them - we fit a lot of Costa stuff on the bikes. Clutch & tranny on the 013 are the same as the 2012 Factory - super smooth. Quality is #1. - we re-route the fuel line on the 2013 and fit a fuel filter - not sure why they didn't come stock this year. - things to check on - a used bike - kickstart bolt, - screw that holds the CDI, - motor mounts and of course spokes in the wheels. - Like 0007 says, things work loose on any competition bike, and linkage bearings should be greased during routine winter maintenance.
  13. Good pics - Thanks for posting - I see you guys still have some snow over there.
  14. No Problems with ones we've had - might just be float level
  15. Good stuff, I think you will like it, have fun - the weather looks like it will be awesome - Stan Bakgaard just ordered another new Sherco and will also be riding one in the Scottish in May.
  16. Where are you located in BC?
  17. Both Costa and S3 have them - check with Steve Saunders
  18. WE have used 5w30 Opti 4 for years in all older Gassers and other Trials bikes - available at most Lawn & garden stores in the States or check with Interlube International out of Blaine Washington - 1-800 332 5851 ask for Paul or Brad
  19. The Canadian Trials season has already started in Western Canada, with events on the West Coast, although most of the Country is still snow-bound. - This weekend will see the Reg Shanks Trial in Victoria on Vancouver Island, while the CPTA will hold their March Trial at Ioco.
  20. I think that might be Francois from Winnipeg on the far right with the long hair - Bet Billy wishes he still had his hair !!!

  23. Hey Billy - Yes lots of Trials happening in Alberta - think all the BS with the Forestry is in the Pincher Creek area. BTW - Love my 2013 Beta 200. - the best yet.
  24. Och Billy - settle down laddie, - you're living in their back yard - but didn't you say you were going to be in Alberta this summer?
  25. We always fit 36 pilots to the carbs for this model year - but as cope says the fuel screw is very sensitive to turns of a quarter.
