  1. I rode last year, had an early number, slippy sections and it p****d down the full day. One of the many who gracefully retired. I have never been so s!!! scared riding up the side of a mountain not knowing where the flags/route goes. As regards fuel, usually plenty of folk from north/west/south yorks who travel up. Good luck, you'll need it!!
  2. Not so, Carole Nash are now refusing EVO insurance however they will insure a Rev 3, work that one out........................
  3. Has anyone had trouble getting insurance for an 2010 Evo. Ebike my normal insurer will not quote and Carole Nash only have a 250 Rev 3 on the pull down menu. I have tried the bikeinsurer but all still refer to a rev 3? Any guidance would be appreciated as I need to get a cover note to register and tax the new beaut before pickup on Saturday.
  4. As a new recruit to "Team Beta", I was wondering if anyone had pondered a mod to use the existing top yoke, machine down bar mounts using a milling machine and fit the S3 bar adjusters. I had them fitted on the gasser and for my height made a big difference. Alternatively, I could spend
  5. John, Can I believe my eyes, have you turned to the dark side, bullen on a gasser, thought I'd never see the day. Are you riding the Cleveland on your new mount??
  6. Does anyone know if this trial is still on??? Last year was cancelled due to a waterlogged start field. Long way to travel to be turned around for a great venue. Contact details for Trials Committee/Clerk of Course please.
  7. If you do decide to purchase, make sure that you carry out the mod to the fan/radiator housing. The fan assembly needs to be carefully removed and repositioned so that the base does not interfere with the cooling fins at the base of the radiator. I suggest 2 no. pop rivets on each side to make sure that the unit cannot pivot and wear through again.
  8. I'll second that, enjoyed every minute of my Sunday day out, sections were spot on for me,mixture of all terrain. I understand that John Watson has me fighting the gasser on Section 02 trying not to flip it 360, should be a good piccy!!! Congrats to the organisers and all at MDMC, the club needed new blood at the top to mix it up with the traditionalists. Big shout for Paul and Steve. Are we to expect similar events/sections at the Vic Boyes and next years Cleveland, I for one can't wait. Yours in sport. DJ.
  9. Perce, With the long range forcast not looking too good, would the event be even considered for and god forbid it, cancellation!!! I dont think we will get last years weather but maybe 2007 when it was, a bit wet!! I'd still have a go at them sections though, water or not!!!
  10. Hope this helps, Remapped throttle body or Fast action throttle. DJ
  11. The GG official handbook recommends 550cc but if you ask most riders and Factory Kev at GGUK, 400cc is about right and stops oil blowing out the vent tube.
  12. Just upgraded my shock, yellow spring, 7.0 KN = 15 st. Hope this helps.

    Gg Heavy Clutch

A standard GG clutch with the small master cylinder does have resistance but not overbearing. The addition of a large master cylinder (
  14. Trial Enthusiasts, Travelling up to LL next weekend for the 2 day with me mate, Craig, first timers for this event. Whats the crack with fuelling, just read the regs, not knowing anybody else is going to making fuel stops/competing almost impossible. Me riding numbers 29, any one near who can offer some help would be greatly appreciated. Could offer some free fuel or even free beer, whatever takes your pleasure. DJ.
  15. Can anyone tell me where I can get hold of a second hand/new yellow spring to fit an 06 GG Ohlin Shock. Shock has been recently conditioned. Currently has a black spring and is too soft to suit my 15st stature. Any help would be gladly accepted.
