BS, seems some riders do not apprecaite the work done "behind the scenes" to get this new round and Bradford's Allan Jefferies round of the NOVOGAR series up and running again after we had to cancel.
Entries came flooding in when we first announced it was back on, however it seems as of tonight we will not have a full entry list, a good entry list, but not full.
If those riders who were thinking of riding and don't wish to could let us know why, we can maybe try and sort out why we aint full.
Remember the NOVOGAR series is also for the clubmen too. In the AJs you get a great days trial in some of the best trialing areas of the UK that is used but once per year.
It would be sad to loose trials like this but without the riders support entry wise it may not be possible to carry on as it takes a lot of planning with organisations like the Yorkshire Dales Nat Park Authority, English Heritage, NYCC, etc, I have to ask
IS IT WORTH IT?
Let the organisers know what YOU want!

Have you details of the deals done by the ferry co,

-
91 entries and I feel sure ALL of them will enjoy the varied terrain.
It will include: Rocks, Water, Tree rooted climbs, Grass bankings, loose shale, and the weather.
Remember some of the trials area can, and normally is above the clouds!
Brrrrrr, so come wi thi coats on folks, and take NO notice of the weather forecast. But when it is nice it is NICE. So include the sun cream.
It don't include Diamond Pasture on the weather map!
Hope to see ya all Sunday 10.30
AM that is.

ride trial, DRINK HEAVILY again,
coz tha feels s***
then sleep extra HEAVILY,
GREAT,
ask Andy, HL, CAM. RON, and many more, and me
and we don't ride
-
TC trial sadly took a back seat as we had other things to think of ie DETHRA etc and trying to sort out if we had any trials AT ALL.
Marky has some cheek to ask anyway, he blobbed last year as he had to go to a wedding, wedding I ask you, cant folk get married round the trials calendar?
There are 5 days in the week for work, weddings, and w, stop there.
Maybe later in the year we can, with Andy's agreement sort something out but as at this moment TOO BUSY.
Get thi backsides down to Hawkstone, then we can have the PARTY without having to ride next day.
-
-
Thats a shame, seems they just got caught in between the DETHRA ruling and the ammendment with no time to let folks know.
Happily many events that were under threat will now be able to go ahead.
Hope not too many find themselves in this position.
Please do remember it is NOT the clubs fault.
-
There aint a sidecar class in the NOVOGAR !
-
Some more good news then, the Scott going ahead, not that
Vinned is riding it
-
And the club offers a BIG Thank You to Ron & Kath Eddings & Richard & Sue Naylor for visiting all the landowners / farmers today to get it sorted and back on the calendar quick!
No mean task as there is some area to cover I can tell you.
So the place to be on the weekend of 10th July is HALTON GILL.

-
Oh ye who are too young or have short memories.
The SLOWWWWWEST van on this planet was the British Leyland Sherpa, aerodynamics of a breeze block.
Silly me once bought an ex BT one with a HUGE box on the back, 40MPH, downhill (STEEP) with a following 70MPH wind. Had to be coaxed up any gradient steeper than 1:50
Along come Daf and think they can hoodwink us into buying the "sport" model.
ENTER the LDV PILOT.
Pilot, where did they get that from?
Maybe in the translation from Dutch the letters PIL "e" O "f" "shi" T went astray.
Superb switchgear from the long dead Maestro van, engine just long dead and aerodynamics of a slightly rounded at the corners breeze block. Gearbox off Caesars chariot. Windscreen resurected from some of the titanics portholes that were no longer required, some even have the new valve type wireless fitted.
By the way Caesar also donated his spare springs for BL/LDV to copy as he was updating his to monoleaf parabolics just over 2K years before.
If you have wide shoulders the only way to get comfortable is to have the bl**dy window open, winter, or summer.
Always somewhere to rest your knees tho, as they are always touching each other and the door and centre console. NO ESCAPE.
Cheap on clutches as you cant lift your leg to use it so get reet good at slick gearchanging.
Having spewed all that I have had 3 of them CHEAP to run, cheap to fix and maintain, cheap to buy, ya can only sell em cheap, you can fix 99% yourself with a basic minimum of mechanical knowledge (as much as the designer had) and they go for ever & ever, even if it takes you for ever to get there
