Neigh Trawden lad, eez on a tarmacing course
-
How do they operate then?
Surely they need some income.
What about the legal claims they may have to fight etc?
-
I agree the ACU licence is too cheap.
For 1 reason, in the future they are going to need funds for
fighting/appealing against legislation the likes of the DEFRA SPS scheme, as well
as the injury claimants.
Remember the DEFRA situation has NOT gone away in England.
It is just sleeping until 1.1.2006
None of us know just what might happen come New Years Day 2006.
(apart from it will be cold, and Bradford club will have a trial)
Many MotoX events are run on commercial tracks with track licences and planning permission, that adds to the cost of a club running an event and ultimately the cost of entering/racing.
Trials could be the same in the future!
Lets just be thankfull that there are many, many trials enthusiasts all over the UK/World that don't ask for expences for setting trials out, answering the phone, doing results etc. Then it would bump up the cost!
If trials was to get more commercial, that is what would happen me thinks.
Let me the 1st to wish you all a happy new year :-)
-
CERTAINLY
Just enter a beginners trial, if they do
2 courses start on the basic course,
then work your way up.
Welcome to a fantastic form of motorsport.
You wont meet better people.
-
Tight bugger that Ish, just dont want ta waste t' boot leather thats all !
-
After hunting thro the bracken today at some parts of Skyrakes
the club has in mind some great sections, GRIPPY rockery,
with some tight technical sections that will be rideable non stop!
October weather can throw up some surprises tho.
Bradford & Dist MC will be trying hard to make this finale to the
2005 season one to remember, event wise.
Good rideable sections and a GOOD atmosphere.
Come October 9th make sure you have it in the diary to be at
SKYRAKES
Sections are available for sponsorship at a ridiculously low cost
also motorcycle orientated traders are invited by contacting the club secretary.
I may add at an even less expensive amount.

The Presidents trial is a social event/treasure hunt. It is to allow families of trials riders / organisers etc to get together for a day out. and have some fun.
You could do it on a bike tho :-)

The observers were all briefed on the Saturday by BDMC and D Willoughby, however as you know, everybody has a differing point of view, no 2 observers are the same.
As long as an obsever treats all riders the same there should be no problem.
They all did a good job, all had to be at their sections before 10am, some not seeing a rider until 1 pm., then concentrate to the finish, before pulling up the sections.
Well done to all the observers at Hawkstone.
-

What a GOOD idea, then all riders would know what
sort of trial to expect.
Also something to aim for, maybe registering to ride
the series to be eligible for the TOP
