God 1989 i was 1 years old then. Bike's must have been heavy in them day.
As for the cutting off the moors on to the road. Well i say go ahead and do it if you can get away with it but if your caught you out. Your the only one to blame for it if you get caught.

I'm with you they do look ugly as hell and the weight of them is heavey to. I think it looks ugly because its air cold and the fins make it look a that way.

Right brand new Sherco for this SSDT (2004) after the first 2 sections the main bearings went. This i think is poor build quality and them not taking time to look at the problem and fix it with all there bikes.
Gavin
Thats the 2004 SSDT finished now for another year . Bring on 2005 SSDT then Gary Mac will show us a few things or two.
Then the 2006 SSDT for Wonder Boy (aka me)
Gavin
As soon as you past you motorbike test even if you are 17 you are limited to 33 BHP. So past your test as soon as possible and yes you can ride the SSDT on a 250 or a 270 if you like.
Gavin
Right I might be going or not. But can I just sign on the day but still be put in for the prizes as I am on here quiet a lot and every bugger knows my name (TC name is Wonder Boy) which is kind of scary.
Gavin

Gavin

Really well i was talking to soke mechanics and thats what they had to say. The 280 is really built for dry condtions with hot weather.Chris yes you had a go on them i ok but you havn't riden them for a long time and fully tested them.
The guy i that i know is come to do the SSDT and has been a motorbike mechanic for many years. I will as him on both bike and i will tell you what he says.
Also the 280 and 300 are both easy bike to flick about.
