  1. First round in Italy was live and they said the rest of the series was too so here's hoping!
  2. There will be some health and safety regs around adequate ventilation. Although in a big warehouse you 'should' get round that with warehouse doors. Otherwise it's expensive extraction systems. Not sure I can see Push and motor bike trials co-habiting but sounds like a good idea and would help get some positive focus on trials along with a tie in with other extreme sports. Keep us posted
  3. Maybe a grammar section is in order Andy : )
  4. He was never due to ride. Not 100% why. He never used to do non ITWC events due being sponsored by Octagon who used to sponsor the ITWC. Am sure he'd have been invited to ride.
  5. You not what?? 1: was still an awesome event 2: Fajardo or not, Bou would still have SMASHED everyone : )
  6. As per what Andy says - contract does not start till 22nd Jan..... Errrr contradiction! As I read it that sounds like new sponsor doesn't want Ossa Racing Team being at a major event until new deal starts. Fair enough so what's with all the BS about riding gear etc?? However as mentioned Spanish company and Sheffield not being televised or part of ITWC. Might be my suspicious mind but both statements do not add up or even say the same thing. Weird still
  7. Anyone would think Dabster had a habit of saying these things to annoy people or to disagree with comments
  8. My understanding is that if you are in the permanent list of riders you are in the whole thing. So I think he would be allowed in the rest of the championship even if he misses a round. Fajardo has already ridden in the first round of the 2011 ITWC in Italy on the Beta. Sheffield is not an ITWC round so he's not 'missing' anything here other than effectively a GREAT event and very good indoor practice against his main ITWC competition. What is baffling though is that it appears Ossa have already said they will not be at the next round of the ITWC (I may have got this wring)which is not until February. This cannotbe a 'sponsor logo on clothing' issue and shouts out to me - BIG bike problems or BIG money problems. Both seem a little bizarre as - They have had at least a full year (and probably more) developing the bike and will no doubt have done indoor style section practice in Spain. They 'appear' to be financially sound from what we see and hear (but who knows as we only see and hear what they want us to see and hear) On the flip side, they say no publicity is bad publicity (not so sure I agree on that) and it has got lots of people talking about Ossa. From Fajardo's point of view this could be catastrophic and a major blow at a very important career point. He needs to be riding at all indoor events he can (ITWC or otherwise) from a financial and riding viewpoint. I expect (and hope) he knows a lot more than we do, but if they know well over a month in advance that they cannot make an ITWC round, where does this leave him both indoor and outdoor wise? VERY ODD all round me thinks
  9. So hang on... Only glanced at these threads do may have missed bits, but it appears that Ossa & Fajardo WILL NOT be at the next ITWC round. Is that right??? If so surely this is a tech issue or can they blame tailoring issues for another 2 months?? Agree with a few other posts. Ossa are new and VERY different so be honest about the issue, I for one would rather know that something was delayed due to xxxxx issue but will be right once corrected than (possibly) lied to.
  10. Totally agree Andy 1: they are unknown in UK so even if they did have the clothing ready, no one would have a clue who/what they are (I assume some kind of petrol/oil company from the name) 2: as you mentioned it is not a WC event and not televised so in theory they are not missing out on anything other than a few thousand British spectators who, as above, dont know or use their products! I personally see this as a major faux pas on Ossa's part as they come out very badly whatever the reason (genuine or otherwise) If it is due to sponsors logo on clothing (still dont buy this for 1 second) then get the clothing done, will only take a few hours to get printed or as I mentioned before sew some onto the clothing - simple. If it's the bike (IMO it must be this) then thats a huge own goal in a potentially BIG market for Ossa with only a few days to go till the event. Am gutted personally as I wanted to see the Ossa, but also for Nigel B and Neil and Martin - who must now have a big headache and a place to fill. Do we know whether there will be an additional rider in attendance now? British or otherwise? yHow about a last minute replacement by Cabestany
  11. Do you know this as fact? Who is the teams major sponsor and for what reason would they not want to be seen and recognised in probably Ossa's 2nd biggest European market?? Seems VERY weird that as andyrothers pointed out they only just realised this?
  12. I keep my bike wrapped up in an old duvet. Been laughed at before for this but having read this thread it appears its a relatively good and simple idea
  13. 1: that's a huge shame. 2: what a RIDICULOUS excuse. Was really looking forward to seeing the Ossa. As for the excuse.... I've seen riders with printed sponsors labels sewn onto riding gear. I assume either for specific events or last minute sponsors. Ossa - At least be honest guys. If you're not 100% with Fajardo's bike say so, don't offer bullcrap, easy fix excuses. To be honest you've had MORE than enough time to get it ready but seriously, why make up tosh like that? Ossa gone down in my estimation now
  14. Park over the road at the leisure complex / restaurants / cinema. Loads of parking and FREE! We normally get there 4:30-5pm ish eat in one of the afore mentioned restaurants (saves massive queues and buying a dog burger at the interval) and go over at 6:45 in the hope that people get there for 7pm. Sadly it's normally a good 10-20 minutes late starting due to late arrivals. It's a QUALITY night though and will blow your mind.
  15. Even 4RT cartoon mock ups look rubbish
  16. Think the jist of this is - If you think it works and can see / feel the benefit get one. IF you dont believe it or that it works then dont buy one. If it's a placebo and benefits you then its cheap
  17. Enjoy it buddy. It will still be a great bike (all the gassers are) and you'll no doubt get to grips with after a couple of rides. Jealous :-(
  18. Swords please :-) Am guessing there is nothing known about what's planned for half time then??
  19. Errrm hello, did you even read the bottom of my last post 'never had a bad word to say about in 11 years' ie: been going each year for 11 years ie: enjoyed it ie: they do a great job. Do you me to put it any simpler? Asking for a post to be removed because someone expresses their opinion on a situation that was IN MY OPINION very poorly handled... Have a word with yourself! This isn't North Korea. They should have told people beforehand that he wasn't riding. Danny Mac announced on his website (I think so don't crucify me) that he wasn't riding before Christmas so don't give me 'behind the scenes' they should have ideally arranged something else or at least told people before the event IN MY OPINION
  20. Oh yea lol. But by the time Doug was winning WTC Tarres was well past his bestest : )
  21. Oooooops sorry Andy and L&M meant Avondale not L&M - my bad And yes Tony Broad you hit the nail right on the head. The organisers knew WELL in advance and said NOTHING. we spoke to some people there primarily to see Danny Mac. They left at interval after a wasted journey. I was REALLY looking forward to seeing him but to not be told is, IMO, VERY unprofessional. Hope they redeem themselves this year, although having heard nowt I'm not holding my breath. Shame as I've never had a bad word to say in all my previous visits over past 11 years.
  22. They could all win TRIALS but NONE EVER challenged for the title
  23. Hi, sorry if this has been announced or discussed on here but who is half time show at Sheffield?? Was proper gutted (and VERY disappointed with L&M) last year when Danny Mac couldn't make it. Is he or anyone else there in January?? Cheers
  24. Tarres ALL day long for me. As mentioned elsewhere he made trials what it is today. Doug was (and is) awesome but for me had less consistent challengers that could beat him (to the championship not a trial) Tarres had - Michaud, Bosis, Miglio, Ahvala Lampkin had - Colomer and Fuji Also what I consider very important is that Tarres won back the WTC not oncce but TWICE 1989 and 1993. So Tarres won 7 times over a 9 year period Lampkin won 7 years on the bounce (AWESOME ACHIEVEMENT BTW) but had not as good challengers and once he lost it was not able to regain it. Bou is doing the same thing now and totally changing trials and taking it to another cyclo trials level. In a few years time you might all say Bou depending on what happens. But for me right now Jordi Tarres is the all time greatest trial rider
