  1. Possible titanium header? Doesn't look chrome like previous years, similar to the ti header that came on the cabastany.
  2. Has anybody taken the 3.2 motor out of the frame and put it back in before? We have it out but not having much luck putting it back in without prying and grinding, any advice is good! Thanks
  3. what if they altered the cylinder of a 250 just slightly so it went from 249.34whatever cc's to 250.5 or something like that so it didnt fall under either catagory?

    Montesa 4rt

yeah mine always gets hot, so either its normal or theres a problem with my bike too. we run elph oil if that has anything to do with it.
  5. brown's bike is siick! i like the future team bikes but to me they don't look totally finished, like how the radiator doesn't completely fit in the frame or the carbon headlight doesn't even have lights notice though he's checkin out the two future bikes in the back
  6. I've read a few posts in this topic and something I saw come up often was dealers having new bikes on the floor ready to sell, and the reply was usually that it wasn't affordable. At our local bike shop (bicycle) they stock at least ten road and mountain bikes costing more than twleve thousand dollars, the most is I think 15,500, and the rest anywhere from 2-6,000. I understand that having a few extra trials bikes on hand is a lot of money to put out in hopes you'll sell them soon, but I'm just curious, how can the bicycle shop afford to have all the bikes I mentioned? I'm sure theres more interest in the sport of bicycling than there is in trials, but the numbers don't really seem to add up to me. (Just for the record, they weren't all american made)
  7. How do you get them to think you're sixteen?
  8. I've heard its cheaper to just order Vince's stuff from his webite and to have him ship it rather than order it from a uk reseller.
  9. Just burnout a little to fling the mud off. I can see where your comming from, and i'd do the same if you could change tires every section like rally. If you've ever replaced a full size knobby yourself with a prybar, you'll see that they flex for no man.
  10. I'm in the same situation, where i ride a montesa and both of m friends ride sherco 125s. I jump on their bikes and i can do most of the stuff i can on my bike, cept hopping from rock to rock on the rear wheel is pretty tough, and i feel a lot less confident. They are real easy to flick around though in terms of hopping and stuffing the front wheel though.
  11. next year put this in the usa trials forum i woulda gone
  12. personally, I think the 08 looks totally sick and would love to have one. but if your worried about the color coordination vs the suspension or throttle response or the torque of the engine, your kinda sounding like your from san fransisco. i'm just playin, but seriously, is that all that matters? and for the price, the bike is sturdy enough to ride for at least two seasons, vs getting a new gas gas every year.
  13. I don't get why everybody thinks knight was tryin to hit taddy. sure he was p****d, but he wasn't tryin to hit him when he shot his bike over the tires. its like when your little sister tells your parents about somethin you did and you fake a punch at her. you can see in the video that he didn't really care, if he was tryin to take out his teammate and possibly be convicted of some kind of man slaughter, he would've at least watched it hit.
  14. Yeah I got that I think at the end of last week and sent it back ASAP!
  15. It won't. in the oc its cold and drizzly today !!! trials weather !! I don't know about that, I live right in the middle of orange county, and oc and rain don't really hangout anymore
  16. "Bikes in southern California tend to hold their value because we ride in conditions that are not harsh to trials bikes." Hey, howcome nobody has let me in on that one?
  17. I wonder why my dad quoted himself
  18. Yep, not sure what the black finish is, paint or anodising, but can't help thinking any small scratch will show up more than just plain ali. Might have to give up riding near rocks or something. :-) The sherco riders by me have resorted to "The Sharpie Treatment" when they scratch their frames, you can't really tell till you look close
  19. Man that thing looks soo cool, i wondered how long it would be before the montesa had a black frame, seeing as they were the first to do it, back in like 78 or something like that. I think black rims is a little too much, maybe red like the cabastany or repsol orange.
