  2. Well exhaust ordered should be here in 2 weeks couldn't get one any quicker cause slickgolf_0 got last one !!! But I'm sure the wait will be worth it ??

  4. If I purchase the back box only will it fit onto the standard front pipe ?? Is there much to gain from getting front pipe or is it mainly weight saving exercise ????

    Why not just trace round the ones on your bike then transfer the tracing onto some thin card you can then trim as required and away you go ?????
  7. i had same problem with my 08 got mine sorted 3 weeks before warrenty ran out they changed both the stator and cdi to be on the safe side but they said they were sure it was the stator
  8. I strap down from just above the front mudguard bracket either side that way you dont put the forks under any pressure and then a ratchet strap over the back wheel never had a problem even on bumpy country roads
  9. For cab space for the family i would go for the Navara i find i have plenty of room with the wife and 2 kids with regards having the tail gate down while driving this is not a issue as the tail lights can be seen either side and you are also able to see the number plate there are also plenty of tie down points in the floor to strap the bikes down hope this is of some help
  10. Had my first pair 3 years only damage was from chain rubbing just got my second pair you cant fault them
  11. ive got the navara with a hard top and not a hope in hell of standing a bike up mate
  12. that works if you have just put a new set of pads in saves spending ages bedding them in
  13. IRC all the way , keep off the revs when setting off mine will out do my mates mont for grip everytime because of the smoothness

  16. we cut a allen key down so we could get a windy gun on the end as well as a spanner { spanner went on the bit between the windy gun and the bike frame } we also attached a 3ft pole over the end of the spanner to get more leverage this was as well as heating up the bolt with a gas bottle and it still wouldnt shift it twisted the allen key through 90 degrees so after speaking to lampkins its going to get drilled out in the next few weeks so hope you have more luck than me , think the morale of this story is to remove the bolt and re grease as part of the general maintenence to stop it seizing in the 1st place
  17. Had the same problem with my 08 turned out to be the CDI lampkins sent a replacement under warrenty never had a problem since

    Thanks NZRALHY will keep a copy of that its very handy but noticed that it only seems to show one breather hose i seem to have three ????? trouble is i never took any notice of them when i took the carb out it was only when my son had them in his hands i realised i wasnt sure where they went may have to give lampkins a call later today

    could someone point me in the right direction for a breakdown diagram of the carb for a 4 stroke my 4 year old managed to pull all the vent pipes off while i was cleaning it out and i cant seem to find which one goes where etc and not sure if the different lenghts will make a difference to its running thanks for any help
  22. problem sorted turned out to be either the stator or cdi both changed at same time to save re-building bike and stripping back down have to say both items changed under warrenty so just labour to pay cheers for all the advice though
