  1. Heck, you guys got me all wrong. I've battled the AMA personally on Patrick's behalf when we were competing worldwide. I'm tired of them. Yes, I thank them for the Action Alert the AMA pushed to stop the Lead Ban, but hell, Ringo, Lane and I could've done that with their resources. Since selling my trials bike and leaving trials behind I've been riding an 'outlaw series' called the OMA Nationals. The promoter would rather stick his boot up the AMA's rump than join them. His courses are pretty brutal, too.
  2. Are you guys AMA supported or an 'outlaw' series?
  3. No mention of Alexz as part of the British contingent. Is he riding for another country now?
  4. Amen, Zippy. You see the big picture. At this point I could give a rats @ss what competitive sport the bike derives from. There's a freaking' million dollars on the line. And... a year contract in Vegas. To have Pat stuck in Vegas for a year is worth it.
  5. Seems the Daily Mail likes these kids.
  6. Major shock. Seems top-flight trials riders competing in their countries championships is on the decline - both sides of the pond.
  7. According to Arbiton ratings, with 12.85 million viewers per-week for America's Got Talent, Pat and Phil have given the motorcycle without a seat it's largest audence the bike has ever seen. Amazing numbers. The guys are now in Hollywood and will perform again July 19.
  8. Suppose it's worth burning a tire up every July 4th to entertain the masses.
  9. Andy, any chance we could get some questions answered from Alexz? Is it the bike? Desire? 122 points seems way off for such a talented young man.
  10. That research has already been done.
  11. Here's there routine from last night. Jitsie should be sending Phil a check for that nice helmet plug on national prime-time network tv.
  12. The American Motorcyclist Association (AMA), in partnership with the North American Trials Council (NATC), has announced the men's and women's teams for the 2011 Trial des Nations in Tolmezzo, Italy, on Sept. 18-19. The U.S. men's team is composed of riders Keith Wineland from Fountain, Colo., Bryan Roper from Glendale, Ariz., Karl Davis Jr. from Ormond Beach, Fla., and Eric Storz from Ventura, Calif., with Andrew Oldar from Aguanga, Calif., as an alternate. For the U.S. women's team, the competitors are Louise Forsley from Bernardston, Mass., Sarah Duke from Colorado Springs, Colo., and Caroline Allen from Norton, Mass., along with alternate Rachel Hassler from Albuquerque, N.M.
  13. Being the keen observer. 1) Pat had to cover up all sponsorship logos. Poor Pat, no Go Fast check in the mail. 2) Phil had to remove his GoPro helmet cam. Poor Phil, no Smagial Adventure 3 footage. Their act could be the next Penn and Teller? Phil does all the talking and Pat plays the silient partner. Yeah, yeah... That other thing. You mean another national title?
  14. Pat takes round 5 from Cody with a 26 to 41 score. After 2 loops Smage totaled 11 to Webb's 22. The pro shoot out also had Smage prevail 15 to 19. Pat had trouble with shoot out section 4, taking two 5's. With two second place finishes, or better, I'm calulating Patrick will regain his #1 plate, then hang up the helmet and boots, riding off in the sunset of fame to fortune on America's Got Talent.
  15. Very miffed the goth-chick who swallowed the sword while hula-hooping didn't make the cut. I can only guess what she had in store had she made it to Vegas.
  16. While Chris Florin and Keith Wineland were the national tv pioneers a few years ago, tonight on America's Got Talent, the Smage Bros. try to impress Sharon Osborn, Howie Mandel and that windbag, Piers Morgan, in New York. Any predictions?
  17. Just got a phone call from Northern Norm. Back-to-back wins in Pennsylvania for Smage. He says one more victory in Tennessee and Patrick will regain the #1 plate.
  18. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
  19. Anyone got answers to Dougie Lampkin's rapid fall to the middle of the pack, score? I'm tending to lean towards machine failure, as the Dougie we all know wouldn't breakdown on Day 6. He'd carry the bike through the sections. Who knows, maybe that's what he's doing to pack on those numbers.
  20. Say it ain't so, Grimbo. Pictures here.
  21. It's tough to compete with a three man team. You've got no rides to throw away. With a four man team you can toss the worst score.
