The fact that my feelings are the opposite, having seen him up close in the wtc quite a few times, are the opposite, ie when under pressure be it either injury or adversity is when hes performed best. It should be also noted you have failed to address the questions above, ie why do YOU think efi is not an advantage and why do you know more than vertigo?

Sound views Greg, and if d of dick wants to read and digest he may well realise talking about trials gearboxes in one breath and machine tools running for 22 hours a day may be slightly different? We are forever optimistic. Your point of 2000 units a year may be the case for gas gas and the other popular makes but I doubt the newer and more recent manufacturers are anywhere near that in totals. perhaps then if we are realistic (d off excluded) failures of some is not surprising.

  19. increasing the bore does not require re mapping but is advisable, otherwise there is no real benefit? It will only self adjust within the parimeters already set. My guess is a standard bike re-mapped would be as good if not better than an unmapped 280, at least my 4rt was.

  21. Yep Dixie, good point about the Sherco. I will never understand what Sherco did in the way of testing as there has never been a bigger mistake than the 4t. It seems to me that the vertigo philosophy is to try and test and proto stuff rather than release a problematic bike, if this is the case hats off to them and I'm surethat many wouldnt worry about failures in the scott or ssdt if thats what happened to a proto?
