Hi pipe should feed in from the front fairly easily, disconnect the original condensor and remove it use any car type condensor the only criteria i look for is that it already has a bracket on it as i'm to lazy to make one cheers helm

Hi 247'348 and 349 do not use head caskets or sealant just torque the heads down evenly to the correct settings ,I have had no problems with the heads atall cheers helm

Hi I've got a classic bike mag with an article on the renovation of one of the works bantams from about 1966/67 it states that the works engines had the number red 1 ,2,3 ...three engines the red is apparently short for reditch and these where the developement bike for the replacement for the C15 if i can find the article I'll try and post it here cheers helm

Hi do you have a decompressor fitted? on mine when I brought it and got it running for the first time in at least ten years there was a noise you could describe as a"chirp" this was caused by the decompressor a) the cable binding on release and b)not closing completly whith the cable removed you will need to take it off completly to clean it, with out the decompressor you will find it hard to get over TDC easier to check than splitting the engine cheers helm

hi if you look at the photos of JR and CS the front forks are different jr has the much lighter works type there where only 6 works engines with lots of magnesium there are lots of photos in the bernie schrieber training book and also film on the mick andrews training film the original suzuki works frames (2 of )were not used for long as they where very light and prone to bending I would try contacting Nigel birkett as he should know most and I believe still rates the works engines! cheers helm
