Morning Chaps, I'm insanely jealous cos I can't go to Hawkstone, (Typical of my mother to have her 60th Birthday Party this weekend), however some "proper weather", not those cheap crappy things we put on the main web site, I won't shop anyone for dodgy link, bu$$ers want to shut us down use what you like, However: Pic below Friday: Rain heading south maybe the odd very isolated shower. temps up to 21-22 deg Sat AM: Rain still heading for the Hawkestone area, patchy rain in the late morning Temps down to 10-13 deg Sat PM: Rain, mostly light and patchy but the odd embedded heavier burst. Temps 17-19 Party Time: Whilst sober stay in the Marquee don't let the rain dilute the beer or the Scrumpy, when you are drunk who gives a damn!!! Sun Overnight/AM: Rain, Light and patchy odd heavier burst. Colder overnight tem down as low as 9degrees. Sunday daytime: Should be generally dry, very low chance of a light showers during the day. Odd sunny interval late morning into the afternoon. Temperatures 19 - 20, Tempers hopefully by numerous Spaniards (no offence to any who use the board but it's OUR round) Shrewsbury area always on the edges of the rain band so you might be really lucky and see no rain at all. The pic: The darker and smaller the symbols the less intense the precipitation. this also indicates the patchier nature of the rain, bigger and brighter, heavier more prolonged spell of rain. Hawkestone is getting a good dumping of rain at the minute so it'll be nice an wet under wheel at the weekend anyway. I'f you're lucky I'll get a chance to past similarly tomorrow

I wouldn't pay too much attention to weather.com - their long range forecast isn't that great. I'll be keeping an eye on the Met Office site through the week though! How many peeps have put a stone on in weight in the last year ? !!! IMHO Don't think weight is really an issue, I had a shot on a mates Sherco 4t on Saturday and WOW, awesome, I honestly didn't notice much of a weight difference to the 290, not that I rode it for long though. I'm probably the worst judge in the world but to be blunt unless you're name is Lampkin or Jarvis etc why does 5 kilos become a problem. Went back on my Honda, now there's a weight problem. Looking at the Scorpa it looks the doggies danglers, much better than the sherco or the Mont. My numbers come up, I'll be heading down the road to see Mr Birkett, that's for sure dy

Hi Guys, fixed and going like a steam engine, (which is a b*gger cos I want a trials bike ) Valve timing out by a few degrees, must have slipped when finishing things off. It's now reset and running lovely. Stripped the carb as well, it wasn't that bad but it had been lying in a dusty engineering factory for the last couple of months. I am now a happy bunny and going for a play during my break (night shift again!) dy

Very light hone and a new set of rings for now, basically ran out of time in the end. Just need to get the timing set up properly, it's running but starts spitting and banging and there is some resistance in the engine when you try to roll the throttle on, even as little as a quarter turn. Mate is coming out here tomorrow for a look, he my expert!! BIG thing though NO SMOKE, see what happens tomorrow, donald

"farming Sections" has been going on for years it's up to observers to police it and police it across the board. At this year's pre 65 scottish a very well known rider with a rapidly improving very good son, was watched by the crowd at Mam Brec filling in the gap below the big root that was catching everyone out. He knew he was last of the leaders on the route so the advantage was there. The observer ignored it even though he watched it happen. this rider is reknown for his farming antics and if he ever wrote a book he could call it no stone unturned !! It's called cheating in simple terms and probably professionalism in world terms. Call it what you like it's still cheating. Anyone who observes a trial has to enough iron will to make it fair for everyone, that means stopping the cheats...... dy

Welcome to the feet up world Magicjuan.... As said in an earlier post to Sag Sag 280 the thre clubs in your vicinity, Lanarkshire Stevenston and Dalmellington will have something to suit and possibly even some Practice Ground. I can give you contact details for Steveston and Dalmellington, Big John put the Lanarshire club URL in a previous post. Send me a personal message and I'll give you the names and numbers. Know the two Ayrshire clubs very well, the trials are generally always sensible and will cater for most standards of rider. Used to go play feet up stuff on the old industrial estate in Irvine, not much there for trials riders but a little imagination goes a long way, dy

Barry, Again as I suggested before, speak to Stevenston and Dalmellington clubs as well. As a club member, you will get knowledge of a few places you can use as practice ground. I know if I fancy a run out I've usually got head there and I'm in the northeast, politics politics........ dy
