Come on guys, if you want to run cool, you got to run on heavy heavy fuel.
Leaded fuel is heavier so has more gravitational swirl when entering the vortex of the venturi, when mixed with the air this causes expansion and molecular heating, the compression of the piston further heats the fuel until it is fully charged and ignited by the thingy mi bob with the little wire on top.
The piston is allergic to heat and runs away from the flame front, to which the flame front says "sod this I'm off " and nips out the exhaust burning the crap out of Ringo's leg on the header pipe, prompting him to say things like "man that's hot" or "good job I had my shorts on dude, it would of burned right through my riding duds" skin heals duds don't.
Wonder if they will let you run the gate at Duluth ringster, you could get in then

We will be riding and camping at Jordan creek this weekend Jay, I'll be on the Fantic if you would like to join us for a bottle of brew and a rev this weekend.
Looks like we will have to run a twinshock trial in the fall, use Dallesport too late to get permits this year down the burn, let the nov, int ride modern bikes with twin shock A and B on the same lines, might entice some of the Wombat crew out.

Mines on it's way too John
-
RYP does the rear Dabber, and I think they wer going with an heavier weight oil for the front.
Link on the front page.

Have you seen this man, wanted in connection with a bump and fall over case in Fort William, on may 2nd.
Two eye witnesses could only give a partial description due to their eyes been full of tears from laughing so hard.
The victim in the case a little old dear who lives down the lane, said " I felt this bump on the back of my wee motor car, and when I looked in the mirror there was nothing there"

What was the reason for taking a picture of a police no parking sign

Well it's all over for another year, the whole six days came across as a really exciting week, good pictures and information has it happened.
Well done Sam on the win, section 17 the first one at Allt na Lairige, will be getting called some tidy names tonight, two of the top lads beat by five points lost them on that section, Ben Hemingway must of had Sam worried leading the event 4 sections from home, got to be hard beaten by one dab after six days.
Cracking week and well done to all involved, I think the best place to be next year is in Fort William.
enjoy the celibrations
-
Nice of BJ to buy them all a pint, well done lads I can taste it from here enjoy tonight

Start of the last day in the SSDT
Conner 15
Pascuet 18
Hemingway 19
Dabill 19
Bilbao 19
Jarvis 23
Colley 25
Thorpe 26
Ludgate 29
Macdonald 32
Pascuet's early day, Tramway and the tough sections on Ben Nevis are slick as snot on an ice cube for the early riders, yes he can hang back a bit but not at the last group of the day, he has his work cut out for the win.
A clean day could get Jarvis into 3rd even 2nd but the win looks to be more of a long shot, Hemo has been improving all week and could do it providing Sam makes a slip, same for Dabill and Amos, both need clean days and Sam to five something, the pressure is on Sam and he is the driving seat for the win.
Closest SSDT in years and will come down to the last group of the day, should make for a large crowd on the hill about noon tomorrow.

The TC boys rode up to Chair lift in the rain and from that point on rode the rest of the day in fine weather, sections at Chairlift and Ba house were running high water early on but as the day went on the water dropped and so did the scores for the later riders.
Kinell managed to make up 15 minutes on the run out to chairlift and caught Perce at the first group.
Perce is really pleased with today's ride scoring 30 odd points his best SSDT day score to date.
Kinell, is going for the finishers award and his tactics are working fine so far.
Andy, walked to the sections at Bar house, and found it hard going, but walking back even harder, then he took on the hike to the sections at Fersit, he's turning into a reet crag rat, and there is a chance he may even loose the beer belly.
Dennis has been struggling today and the past few days not feeling on form but keeping going, the moors are taking their toll on the other two US riders Kary and Odus, but they have clicked into survival mode and again going for that important finishers award.
-
Half way through the 05 SSDT, with the longest day of the event tomorrow.
26 mile or so out to the first sections at Chairlift, then Ba house, and then the long moor ride taking in Gorton, etc until you come off the moor dropping into Lochs wood, and the lunch stop, lot of roadwrok with Rannoch and Lubnaclach on the way untill the track and moor over to 8 sections at Fersit the hardest group of the day, and 20 odd mile of road back to the park ferm, sounds like a good day out on the motorbike to me.
Jarvis slipping a bit today, letting Pascuet and Conner get in front of him and it's his early day tomorrow, Pascuet doesnt see the front of the entry untill saturday, but will have to work hard to keep the lead for the next three days, I'm still going with Grimbo for the win.

Still a five, for killing the motor while footing.
Says failure definitions, The engine stops while footing or...........
If some dodger used that wording to get out of a five, then it needs to changed, this is why trials marshals have to go through more and more each year because un sporting individuals will try every dodge in the book to get out of a five for failing.
-
He did have a good ride, he called me just after he got in, said it was a nice day and perfect riding weather, new sections at Grey mares tail, and School falls, big steps and slick.
Some say the sections were more difficult, but the results by many of the regular clubmen seem to be same or close to what they had last year.
Good warm-up today to get them into the swing and get the bikes run in, Tue is twice as far and a lot more moor work, tomorrow the Scottish starts
-
Bank, tree, rock, mantaining an upright position and keeping some sort of control. 3 points
Ground, Loss of control, possibly both feet on one side of the bike and would have to pick it up off the floor. 5 points.
Definition of a fault.
Each contact of any part of the rider or machine (with the exception of the Tires, footrest, skid plate) with the ground or an obstical (tree, rock etc)
-
Dead engine with any support other than the tires is a 5 Al
-
Looking at rider numbers and results, Ian Austermuhle # 26 has had a cracking ride for his early day, sections at their worst for the early riders.
Taking nothing away from the great ride by young Dabil, the steady 1 dab ride of Jarvis, looks to me the man to beat again this year
-
While you are doing nowt, take a picture of the new section at Town hall Brae.
-
In fact it's so hot the camera is sweating
-
I think Dennis is pulling your leg Martin, it never rains in Fort William, see for yourself.. http://www.lochaberinternet.co.uk/webcams/...evisgallery.asp
-
Any sighting of the US trials team in and around Fort William yet ? said they were hoping to catch the pre 65 event and should be around Kinlochleven and pipeline today.
All Montesa riders, so look for the cowboy hats and red clothing.
Dennis, Kary, Odus, nice lads and easy to talk too, any info or photos would be appreciated by event followers this side of the pond wondering how the lads are doing.
-
Yup it's a girl, that fourstroke power was obviously too much for him
-
Tha would need more than butties if you were waiting for that Perce fella
-
Heathy, you could be looking at this problem the wrong way.
Try looking for a tow bar to fit the sherco and pull the bloody MR 2
-
The hooks are flat Dabber, and fit snug over the fender, the bag doesn't move when sinched down, to fit to the tank you would have to have a bigger hook to go over the frame tubes.
