  1. May just have to treat myself to a 50th birthday gift
  2. You won't have time for company, and if you did you will be too knackered to say owt You'll be going across a moor steaming and absolutely knacked thinking what the hell possessed me to enter this trial, then entries open for 06 and you can't wait to see if you have got in or not, it's a similar deal to those Arabs that go round whipping themselves until they bleed on certain holy days.
  3. The Pentax version was $200 more in the USA than the stock version, so I think it would just be cosmetic, retail price in 1992 was $6199, bout price of a modern day two stroke here. Middle box and silencer alloy, front pipe nickel plated steel, on my bike stock shows matt black, so who knows ? The TLM first came out with a 240 model that was a bit guttless in the mid eighties, I think the 260 was produced for about two or three years, last model year 92, which makes it probably the latest air cooled mono. Not as nice to ride as the 89 RTL. Parts, I do have the full parts and repair manual, and if you need to know a number I will look it up for thi, but I'll be buggered if I'm banner sit and send every bugger round the world copies of pages, if you want my manual the price is $4500 US dollars and comes with the bike attached, plus shipping of course
  4. Gizza, what number did you least want
  5. I found modding a pair of Sherco pegs did the trick for me, just a little lower and further back, all I had to do was grind a bit off the back of the peg.
  6. I have a really nice one, thing was Honda produced this in 92 when the rest of the trials world had been water cooled for a couple of years. I sold the pare tank/seat shroud, if it's cheap Stu, would make a good parts bike.
  7. I'm all for equal trade Tim, I buy $10 of your product you buy $10 of mine, the trade deficite for the US is many trillions = mucho Jobs, patents mean nothing in China, how would you feel if you build some revolutionary device and found out it was being reproduced at a fraction of the cost in another country. Would your feelings be as strong if it was taking your living away ?
  8. Reading Dicko's page three rant today, [ clicky http://www.tmxnews.co.uk/ViewArticle2.aspx...rticleID=954966 He's spot on about nothing new, I see many posts on here how far advanced technically they are and the truth is it's mostly borrowed technology, China is next, companies send them all the technical information they need to make whatever because they can build it at a fraction of the price it can be made in Europe or the USA. All it is really doing is giving your jobs away and knowledge away because it's more profitable for some bugger to make another one or two billon they can't bloody spend anyway. It wasn't long ago the best products to come out of those countries was plastic toys and tools.
  9. It was a nice group of sections but I always managed to double my bloody days score there
  10. I don't keep em for six months, so should I change it more regulary
  11. TC front page news. And I also just heared the price will only be about five hundred over the price of the two stroke here in the US, and a 4t was at this weekends motorcycle show back east, maybe one of the US trialers got a pic or two.
  12. I also think the wearing of said suits, is responsible for the delay in the posting of results, some females who will remain anonymous are dreaming about tight buttocks instead of getting the results out.
  13. After reading Timp's health warning on breathing exhaust fumes while waiting to ride a section, I also think the possible health risks that are taken by those who wear the one piece riding suits, and how in the future in could have an effect on breeding new trials blood. It is a well known fact the sack hangs down for cooling purposes and retracts the jewels when cold, now if these suits don't allow the testicalis to drop when hot they could overheat and damage the seeds of life, most young teens can over come this, has they renew the seeds every time they get a few minutes to themselves, but the older end who are in there breeding prime tend to wait a little longer and it is this time period that could be the problem. Old buggers who are sporting the beerus gutticus don't have the nerve to wear the one piece suits, learning from laughing spectators that what they saw in the mirror isn't quite what the public sees and such disgusting sights should be confined to the home. Are the seeds of life getting the short straw, and not been given the chance to multiply just for the sake of a little more material around the fertility factory. Should TC have a safety while trialing forum ?
  14. Whats the news in Spain on the Sherco 4t Gone a bit quiet
  15. Strange first post, not been holding bikes to ransom have you
  16. I only wish we could see as much passion put in to helping the good ladies and gents out there who put on trials, that we see put in to what color bike some bugger rides.
  17. Cool bike Jay, never saw any around only the one Danato, rode in the 86 world round in Yorkshire. Did you buy it local ? one of the bikes shipped over for the US world round of that time ? No excuse for not helping to get the twinshock classic series started in this area now. Talk with to tomorrow.
  18. Actually it was quite funny, after the petrol stop I switched into U.S, mode and went bollocking down to Laggan on't wrong side of the road, daft Spanish buggers were following me too, I think it was Shirty who was coming up the road throwing his arms about and shouting you stupid foreign Beep!! Beeps!! get ower
  19. I missed the moor this year, I was following a couple of riders to the group, it was getting dark, and raining, we pulled into a fuel stop, I knew then we had missed the group and asked the Army lads where the group was, he pointed over to the hill and you could see it from the fuel stop, what do you do! start back tracking to find a marker that will be facing the other way or ride over to the sections you can see as you know it's the last group of the day. Did I cheat, DIF, I missed a road marker, Kinell missed a marker on Fri and it took him an hour off course, was he cheating?. I know I didn't mean to do it, I also know the Spanish riders who were in front of me didn't mean to do it either, if you have ridden the event before you will know what it's like rushing down the road with rain and hail burning your eyes, if you haven't then you need to and see if it's possible to miss a marker in a six day 530 mi event. Twinshock, this year the riders will ride the 26 mi or so on the road from the Park Ferme to the sections and ride the moor after, so their bikes will be clean when they get there.
  20. I will be attending a club event in Washington state USA.
  21. Ady, how old are you, how long have you been riding trials. Whats your goals in trials? Youth champ/ world champ, just for fun, Give us some info about yourself and what you like about trials.
  22. TC tent sounds like it would be a good idea, HL in charge of the wine bar, K giving directions to sections etc, Perce could give financial advice, and Dabster could be the customer relations advisor.
  23. AS, it comes down to the clubs can no longer run this type of event, the cost of doing it properly is out of the reach of most clubs, not only money but also the time organizing, it's no longer a matter of sticking in flags and observing the riders on the day. At world championship level if we want the sport to move on and expect a professional event, it has to be done by professionals. If LM promotions can make it work, we may see riders getting prize money in the future, I would think at this time the financial risk is high and the first event will be lucky not to be in the hole, often missleading is reading a press report on how many attended and numbers like 10.000 spectators all paid twenty quid to get in, when in truth the spectator turnout was closer to 3000 and 500 of those didn't pay to get in. Also the 40,000 quid plus it took to put the event on never seems to be taken in to account. I tried the same in 01 and for me it was my full time job for over a year, I learned a lot but for the amount of effort for the return I have no desire to do it again. LM promotions have a lot more experience both indoor and outdoor than I have and will probably give the spectator a lot better show. I hope it's a great success and they build on it to the point they can make a bit of profit I know at the end of the day what little they will earn they will of bloody earned it.
  24. Surge, are you riding the SSDT, if so don't get off thi bike t light thi fag, or you'll time out at the first bloody group
