  1. Think the time they last is affected by how often you ride rivers, sure if you rode in dry conditions they'd last ages. Best boots I've used, wouldn't buy anything else
  2. Hi these boots are great, best support / protection and good feel I the pegs from new. Only down side is they don't last very long. I only get between 6 to 12 months then there shot.
  3. If you have the remaining section you can just cut a new hole and re fit, the hose being a few inches shorter won't make a difference. The hose is only there to direct any lost fuel. Lots of people run without any fitted, everything runs the same without, there's just more chance of getting water in when washing the bike etc.
  4. The cut is to prevent a siphon effect to stop fuel flowing non stop. They should be close to the carb side of the tube The cut lets air in the tube and stops the fuel from siphoning. One outlet is an over flow the other is a breather.
  5. The trials world will never agree on this argument, it's down to personal preference. Maybe different clubs should agree to use different sets of rules so there's a trial out there for everyone to enjoy. In my area we have upto six clubs so this would work fairly well.
  6. Could look like this? found this picture on the Formula website in the moto section http://www.formula-brake.it/en/motos/mcr-front
  7. Hi take the arms off and have a good look at the threads, almost evey evo ive had ive ended up helicoiling, as the aluminium threads in the frame are very weak.
  8. Hey jokerr, spoke to lampkins today and they agreed to send me a 2010 fender free of charge. The said there's no known problem with them and they hadn't sold many? But suppose it's early days! Am 100% sure the 2011 fender is much more prone to breaking than the earlier models and after having a good look at my many broken ones! I have noticed that where they break the plastic is very thin as in less than 1.5mm. They always snap from the side of the sunken recess where the fender is attached. This also happens to be the part of the fender which has been changed for 2011 to accommodate the new m6 allen bolts.
  9. Hey no I the only ones I found were way to big so went with small zip ties passed through and under the airbox arms. Didn't help tho!! The observer and a few people watching were amazed. Also saw another 2011 today that's only been out a handful of times with cracks starting on both sides.
  10. Yeah suppose the bigger m6 screws could be doing there job to well and holding to sucure, which then shows the weakness in the fender.
  11. Will be calling them first thing tomorrow, it's now way past being funny
  12. Yeah least they'd look cool! Does anyone make aftermarket fenders for the Evo?
  13. Well that's another today! Only made contact with the inside of my leg and bang! 70 odd notes gone!
  14. Chances are the 09 fender will be Spot on anyways they could be bent in all directions without snapping
  15. I'll be honest and say after almost
  16. Hey betabonkers! that Sounds very familier! All my other evos fenders were great, but Defo seeing a pattern forming now with the 2011 models. I've just fitted another one to ride tomorrow. I've a strong feeling I'll be up to six tomorrow. It's now taking the p**s!!!
  17. Well good to hear it's not just me!!
  18. Yeah All of mine have broken with hardly any pressure knocked it with my knee when getting on and it snapped of like a pain of glass. Today I lay the bike down slowly on soft mud while stopped and again it snapped! A guy riding a gaser seen it happen and couldn't believe his eyes! It's now getting to the point where every trial cost me a fortune. Seems strange theyve only just started snapping on the 2011 bikes
  19. They sound like a good plan will buy some today. At first I thought it was due to cold weather but today was 11c which shouldn't cause any problems. After none in two years then suddenly five in no time am sure the plastic has changed?
  20. I am either the most unlucky person on the planet or is there a problem? So far in the last 5 weeks i have had 5! YES 5 rear 2011 fenders snap and crack as if they were made from glass! at 70+ notes each iam now at my wits end!!! I wouldnt mind so much if id looped the bike everytime, but its from hardly even touching the bloody things. On my 2009 and 2010 bike i couldnt fault the fender they seemed unbrakeable. Is anyone else out there having the same problem?
  21. Cracking photo! Will sheffield be on the telly?

    2011 EVO forks

Yeah good point! There just a different shape on the lower fork leg with a different right side adjuster. Nowt to say there any better or any worse, just an observation.

    2011 EVO forks

Yeah couldn't fault last years forks either, Besides that don't think it would make a difference to my riding even if I had forks from 2021! Lol

    2011 EVO forks

Has anyone else noticed that the 2011 first batch of bikes have slightly different forks to the current bikes available? The forks my 011 model which I've had a couple of months are visually Identical to my 010 bike, have now seen some bikes a month newer which have a different damping adjuster top and different fork bottoms? Does this mean I've got last years forks due to the fork supply shortage?
  25. Best knee pads I've used are 661 veggie skins, there made from neoprene so don't restrict movement and after five mintues you forget you've got them on.
