I can not find letter A or B on Piston. What would measurements for B Piston be?

Hi. I have to change piston. It has marks on and cilinder is also in bad shape. Could someone tell me which piston I have? On top is written 03-20, 7595. Is it second or third one? If it is third one then I must change cilinder. Am I right, or is there one biger then third? Samo

Is it Motul Motocool-Expert good coolant? I have it in my Beta and it contains ethylene-glycol.

I think membrane makes boots waterproof not wax. Wax just make leather looks happier Leather absorb constantly...after you wax it, it can absorb also wather.

I can stay on bike for a minute or two already and I've been riding trials for only 3 months. I practice balance 5 minutes every day.

I think the problem is there:http: //www.newenglandtrials.org/Beta_wiring.pdf (read this!!) You have to split earth wires. You both can be angry on Beta factory not to ATF ( stator,coil and cdi manufactor). Because Beta does the wrong-bad earth conections.

Is it posibile to take of Cylinder without taking of the whole engine? Rev3 2007, 270ccm

Clean the carburator properly. You have probably some wather in it. I think...

I made mods. on the carburator ( float level, drilling..) and when I look the spark plug it is not black as before, so I think it is not too rich. The petrol doesn't leak through the atmospheric pipes anymore..maybe is float level too low? S.

My rev 3 270ccm starts when it's cold first kick but when I turn off the motor and try to start it after 5min. it doesn't want to start. It starts only with fully opened trottle. When I turn off the engine and than start it at once, it starts fine..It doesn't want to start only when I wait 5-10 minutes.?? What could be the problem? S.

I'v done all three mods. Drilling, float tangs mods. and atmosphere tubes mods. and now the problem is solved.. I think that you can see on the spark ( black or brown ) if the float level is corect..

They usually don't sell products from factoy, but here is no oficialy Beta dealer so I menage to get it lets say for qarter of the Spain price..

From stator comes electricity and the coil I checked ( take one from friends Beta..) was OK, so it should be CDI unit. I take it out already and ordered one directly from the factory;)) It is not so expensive..(I can not tell you the price ) They were very friendly and explained me everything about digital ignition system we have on Betas. They said that from 2008 is much improved in this sistem.

I diconect all wires by the kill botton, try to start, but no luck.. Probably I should leave some wires conected there? I took out the coil, there I found earth contact wire cleaned it and put it back, still no luck. I checked once more this earth wire. Thanks Mecajental for respond Samo

I tryed everything, but my bike will not start. I cleaned carburator 7 times, changed the plug, cleaned the exhaust.. I see a little spark on plug, but I think it is not big enough. If I'm lucky it starts for a second and than dies:(( I find the coil, I know where the stator is, but I don't know where is cdi unit. Can somebody please post picture of CDI? Electriciti for Betas are made in our country (Slovenia..maybe that is the reason for its durability) so I'll get the broken part probably cheap.. Samo

Thanks. I looked here " Bearingboys", but they don't have such 18x22x22 bearing. I spoke with J.Lampkin (per mail) and from my description he said that piston should be the trouble. I have to check con rod he said. Is that piston pin? I'm no good in English I'll order by him everything for piston for now (piston pin, piston rings and piston bearing). He is very friendly and helpful.

Can gaskets be replaced with Loctite case sealant? ( 574, 510 or 5910 ) I mean gearbox and clutch gaskets. In cilinder head is probably too hot for sealant. And for old gasket I read in Loctite site that you can use it again (if it is not broken..) when you put a bit of 5203 case sealant. Is this a good idea? Samo

Nobody?? Piston needle bearing?

Hi! Does anybody knows wich needle bearing for piston should go for 270 beta 07 model? I know the measurements: 18x22x22, but there is probably some specific one...like main bearings 6206 zz c3. I hear some noise in piston when I turn trotle off from ( don't know exactly ) about 4000rpm. Just one click or two, like two metal things knock against each other. So I'll change both main bearings, piston bearing and piston rings. Is there something more to change? I mean preventive.. like to have motor in good shape Samo
