Just another to add to the list. The "gassing" of Motorhomes by thieves after cash and cards was known about 10 years ago by riders doing any trials where they had to pass though France or Spain so this is just another hazard. Hopefully they will send him back to Italy where he should have applied for asylum.

We did test Steve's parts ability a few times and it was not found wanting. Most of the parts are generic anyway. Results wise Chris is doing pretty well on the bike.

Club and Centre Trials are usually run all year round. The Summer usually heralds the Novice Beginner and Wednesday Night trials Series although a few clubs do run Novice?beginners Series in the Winter

Interesting. I was thinking of a braided fuel line but we haven't hit the problem. NEW MOD ALERT. The Ohlins was catching a little putting a "shock" into the frame as the suspension unloaded, (rear wheel in the air). Talked to the Ohlins guy and had the spring set so it is about 120mm in length when the bike is "resting" without a rider. Also a small amount was ground from the middle of the two fingers that run under the bottom of the shock.No more "twang"!! I'll get a pic this weekend

You just need an ACU Licence form which you can get from the ACU website. Fill the form in and hand it over to get the code for the club. Then pay the Membership Fee and the Trial entry fee. ACU is £10 West Leeds Membership is £5 and entry is £15. They used to do the form on the day and let you send it but they may send it themselves. It's a while since we started and I do it online these days so it could have changed. How far do you want to travel? BUMPY's own series will not be back until next month. Bradford will be running a Fun Trial at Harden near Bingley on the 17th with a round of their WBS the day before if you want to gauge how easy it will be the following day. Spen Valley and Horsforth will be running Novice Beginners but not until September. I think your best option will be the West Leeds Club Trial at Post Hill on the 23rd August. They usually have an Easy route and it's a fairly "compact" course. Basically it's just opposite the Wickes Store on the Leeds Ring Road.

Also Near Wakefield is BUMPY. I think it's £15 to join and £8 to ride for the day But I could be wrong on the Membership fee. The place has plenty of different terrain for beginners to practice on with some bigger rocks now scattered about for more advanced riders. Could worth popping down on a Saturday or Sunday and you can get some tuition if you have your own bike. KIds can rent a small bike to learn on. www.bumpy.org.uk

The Kehin fits with a little fiddling. For Settings we started with Main 125 Pilot 48 Slide No. 3 Needle JJH Clip 4th down from the top Air screw 1.5 turns out from full in. Which is what Ross Danby and Richard Timperley run We then fiddled and ended up with a 3.5 slide Pilot 45 122 Main Clip 3rd down from the top. Most expensive to fiddle with is the slide as they cost a bit. I think Jordi Tarres preferred a 128 Main. They do have a wide variation of settings that can be run. We use Shell or Tesco 99RON fuel with a full synthetic GRO two stroke oil.

At the WTC at Nord Vue the first time I saw Bou the engine stopped on him. No 5! Anybody else instant 5.

My Son Rides it and is a "bottom end" rider but does use the revs when necessary. He reckons the entire rev range is better with a Kehin. You do need to fiddle more though as they are more sensitive to the conditions than the Delorto. It is an expensive fix and we had a Kehin already so it was not difficult to swop.

Took us a while to get the Kehin working right and the settings are different to others we know about. Steve Saunders suggested that the Boysen Reeds help the "snappiness" but whether they would help in this case I don't know. I think now that the Ossa has been sorted the EFI system is going to be unbeatable on response to be honest. Why nobody else has fitted it I don't know. I was expecting there to be a GasGas this year and rumors about the Vertigo and TRS are all unsupported at the moment.

Looking at Previously sold ones I'd say it is a 2009 too. Many were being "improved" at that time so the disks could have been added. TrialsUK and others sell OSET's with added extras such as Hope parts so it may have come with them or had them added later.

Got to agree that the new design Braketec kit needs them to address quality control. When replacing the rear pads I open the bleed nipple and open up the pads then top off at the master cylinder. Saves the seals but not doable with the current layout. The Tray the ECU sits in tends to acquire a small amount of water in it when riding streams. I currently Tie wrap it to the Mudguard mount above the tray. Chris's Bike was built in October/November so if the arm has been moved since I don't see any problems. The Breathing has been a problem. Even when Fully drained after Chris Broke the Clutch cover and filled with exactly 400ml we have had excess coming out. The Trialspart Breather has been fitted and improved the situation. One thing I did forget was fit the CSP Bash plate if you "hit" rocks. Twice the thickness of the Standard one. And the Rear bolts are Nylocked.

Kokusan Ignition, New Braketec Master Cylinders. Rear Brake Master Cylinder you can take the lid off to top up without putting the bike on it's nose. Better ECU location. Better Clearance of the chain tensioner and rear wheel. Easier chain adjustment. Gearbox Breathing. Basically just details I suppose which shows how good the design is.

Seems like The area has a nasty set of scrotes at the moment. Joe Faunthorpe has had two Beta Evo 125's stolen now from Idle. I think every rider should be looking to see who is watching them.

The Standard JTG works pretty well with a measured delivery of power. My Son has a 300 with a Keihin that is rather rapid on pickup so you can change it to your requirements. He did try a 300 Sherco and as he put it it delivered the power but a bit far up the rev band for him. He wanted the power to come in and keep delivering. The Sherco was a bit laggy. It had the power but it arrived a bit late.
