So if you are moving up a class next year and your club has started its 2006 season. Which class would you enter?

Well An amount of the sponsorship is allocated to the organising club's. They also "sell" the sections and any trade spots. No sponsorship in Trials is astronomic though so don't expect your club to rake in the cash. Entry fee's are about

The problem is twofold. 1). For club trials FIM is unworkable. Getting two sets of observers one to watch and one to time would not be impossible at all trials but for the majority would not be feasible. The timing equipment would have to be bought by clubs as well. 2). The FIM are still changing the rules. Any club or rider want to buy the new equipment to indicate a "rollback" or stop if that is taken up?? All you could do is as now rely on observers. All Motor Sports run different rules for different classes Motorcycle sport does have greater consistancy on the rules. However in Car racing Formula 1 runs grooved tyres and refueling. Formula 3 does not. It's a Junior formula and if a driver proceeds to F1 then He/She has to adapt. The principles are the same. We have much more accessible "grass roots" sport where anybody can compete in most events againest the best, excepting the big National and International events.

Ryan seemed ok at the Barnsley trial next day! But they did take another 45 minutes to finish their conducted course after the Novices and beginners had finished. I have seen a few clubs run "Green" or "mixed" section course's. To those newcomers the usual practice is have the easier "hard" sections marked. The riders who feel they want a harder ride than a clubman course but not to ride the hard course ride the clubmans course unless that section has the "green" markers in which case they ride the Hard Course on that section. Make's it easier on the Clerk of course as well! Chris has ridden them at Eboracum and he thinks they are great! Was saturday a restricted as It wasn't made clear in TMX.

Try Scarborough and Richmonds web site's. I think they have pictures of last years's round's. The Yeadon-Guiseley round will probably be at Dob Park but that has yet to be confirmed.

It's back now! We were at the trial on saturday and I think they have switched ISP which caused the problem. Having seen the problem I did an envelope for the results.

Fantic site has a "comingSoon" on a Trials section. Had to use Babelfish and some of the translation is hilarious!!!!!!!!

Still we would be interested, We haven't seen Tom or his Dad for some while and we used to see them all the time.

Yep the VIP is more expensive, but you are guaranteed access to the riders and the ability to watch "backstage" from the balcony. A buffet and free drink is also provided as well as earlier access to the event.

Lew Check with Scarborough Club to see if they have any tickets. Most local clubs have them for sale and I believe <mention of this company is not permitted on Trials Central> being a Sponsor of the event have them as well also check if any of the local Trials shops are selling them. The VIP Tickets are available from G2F and the numbers are on the front page of this site. Jake had 100 places so he may still have a few left if you are lucky.

Check that your clubs are not selling the tickets. They don't take a booking fee.

Hello Magicmat, are you doing the Barnsly club Trials???

I've just booked two tickets for the VIP area.

Chris tried one when he started out. The seat is quite tall compared to "modern" bikes. He could be ok on it but be aware the lower weight better handling and brakes of more modern bikes could dis-hearten him. I have seen a very good one go very well in the hands of an expert. But a lot of times they are a handful for the less experienced rider. If he wants to "suck it and see" it's a reasonable bet but don't expect it to be as rideable as a new bike.

Saw one today at the Barnsley trial at Thurlstone. It looks like a Sherco but doesn't if you see what I mean.

Not giving you any grief at all Andy. I have promised Chris(North Yorks Lad) that I'll enter him in the close B class trials before a Last year attempt. The confusion seems to be that The ACU are listing National B class in one list and not in the other. I think John needs to clear this up as it looks like 11 rounds instaed of 8.

2006 will be the last 250cc year. In 2007 it will be down to 125.

Sorry for being a pain but we still have Youth A&B Nationals listed that are not on the Championship list?

I have noticed that some of the A&B Nationals are on the Main Calendar but not on the List at the end. For example the Mansfield Maun Date on the 28th of may and the Bradford date on the 11th of June. Any reason for this???

Ah! The February date was accepted then. Means an earlier start for the A/B Runners this year!!

The Academy was only available from November 2004.
