Well the Info I have gleaned is that mechanically the 125 bike has a redesigned/new engine, new suspension front and rear, New rear swing arm. I'm not sure about a new frame, but cosmetically the frame will be a dark colour. Should be worth a look. I don't know about the other 2t's as obviously the 125 is been developed to cope with a wider age(and weight) group than before.

    Anybody Go Along??
  3. telecat replied to jenkinsm's topic in Sherco
It's throwing a spanner in the works for Chris! He wanted the Gas Gas 125 but with all the rumours about the Sherco we are waiting to see what the all new 125 is like?
  4. Just been up on the way back from the Autotowbars. It's windy up there and the tip is watch out for Section 10!

Try Andy At Pennine Trialsport on 01422 822531. He's a current Scorpa dealer.
  6. ""In Junior Kickstart I'll never forget the young lad who fell on the 'pole-over-the-hole'. He hurt his pride and almost destroyed his manhood, but the ensuing rush of St John's Ambulance men into the pit, where they all fell over, was a piece of television hysteria! (and history!)." Taken from the Peter Purves Website Wasn't that a young Graham Jarvis???????
  7. .....and a nice guy and bl
  8. Noboby has mentioned the comments made by I think it was Sam Connor and relayed by Jack Burnicle. That is that Hawkstone was a challenging, difficult trial but UNLIKE some recent rounds he didn't feel he was risking his life doing it! Looking at the injuries in some of the preceeding rounds and the fact riders did crash out at Hawkstone but did not have the severity of the previous rounds it does look bad for the rounds concerned. Did anyboy who went feel they were that bad??? Also Watching the riders thru a couple of sections with their minders I was surprised how agitated Raga's Minders were compared to everybody else's.
  9. Yep, we got corrected by Mel and Cherry a while back. I "hung" round Section 14 a while and the difference between the Junior and world contestants was that stone "gate" on the way in. All the world round contenders "stood" the bike on the back wheel. Alll the Junior's barring James footed to get both wheels on. Oh and that dog was BIIGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. I'd have thought a lot of riders would want to go if only to get experience of an Indoor event.
  11. Truvelo Cameras use Wire's in the road and are forward facing hence useless against bikes. The Mobile Scamera'S are also forward facing but they have been known to pop out and get the number as you go past.
  12. Angela carries a Laptop with multiple batteries at the event and it has a system to collate the scores. Don't know if Richmond pioneered the use of it but the Laptop they use has such a long battery life it makes it feasible to do the results at the event just leaving the upload and emailing to do. It's so good Yeadon & Guiseley bought the same one! I have seen other clubs use laptops but usually they have a generator to power them.
  13. Ok, guys Addingham Moorside will be closed for practising from the 28th July until the 8th of August. This is to allow for the setup of the National trial taking place on the 7th August. Edited date because it was early morning

Talking to Katherine Wardle's dad and Her bike has a few mods(05 125), Polished ports, Carb spacer fitted and the 250 exhaust. They do make a difference at the bottom end according to him.
  15. Just ordered the tickets for the Sunday!
  16. Sorry Big Chick, something went very wrong there. I thought I had posted a reply but found it missing when I came back! Damn that Preview button!!!!! . Hope you enjoyed it I see he did well on what must have been a tight contest.
  17. It's not that long but there is a hill to climb. As always Mike will be out with the little un's on a seperate conducted course.
  18. It's at Brimham Rocks. Looks Ok on the Vodaphone Map but There are some "White" areas which presumably aren't covered. What class does your young'un ride???

Don't know if he is booked up yet but YG's Website has numbers for a members <mention of this company is not permitted on Trials Central> in the IoM. www.yeadon-guiseleytrials.co.uk
  20. Ok Folks for those interested The Next Yeadon Guiseley Closed to Club is at Brimham Rocks On Sunday 17th. Follow the flags From the Tourist entrance. Venue is NOT the Tourist spot but next door and still has some big rocks in it.
  21. So that brings up the question where does the Novagar Fit in? Most trials are of the 3 to 5 laps of 10 to 15 sections including National's barring the Novagar. YG had a club trial of two laps of 20 Sections but that is a rarity. The SSDT, Scott etc are Traditional Trials so the Novogar's fall somewhere in between. It doesn't seem to suffer for it as entries are healthy and the riders like the format. Seems a case of a popular format so leave well alone at the moment.
  22. Got to sympathise with bdmc and stuartc. One Centre's clubman is another's expert hence the sections tend to be slanted that way in different centre's. By the comments here it seems that the two events organised by the Yorkshire Centre clubs are the Hardest so far and by definition indicates the type of trial required by riders here!

It's the extra grip! You've got so used to not having any and adjusted your riding style accordingly. Probably best to check if your throttle can be changed to a "slow" one to calm things down.
  25. I have seen Montesa 315R's with very large tanks and also Scorpa do a "Long ride" version of both the 250 and four stroke which have a large tank and a small seat.
