  1. Sounds like the plug is sooting up. What Oil and mixture are you using? It looks like the mixture has too much oil in it or the carb is not adjusted correctly. The 2 solutions are:- Change the Fuel/oil Mixture. Most bikes have a recommendation of 2 to 2.5% oil to fuel. This is probably good when new but can be leaned off with modern oil's. The other is to adjust the air fuel mixture via the screw on the carb. Check with a Gas Gas dealer as to the best position if it isn't covered by the manual. As a stopgap you can simply shut the fuel valve and let the bike use the remaining fuel in the line when you have finished. It cleans off the plug. To revive the plugs clean the soot off with a rag and then use a plug cleaning brush, (wire brush) to get any remaining soot deposits off the plug.
  2. Yep it's that trial again The Kath Cockshoot Centre at Eldroth. All classes welcome including the little 'uns. Follow the flags from the Settle Bypass and keep going until you run out of road.
  3. Sounds like SIDI are discontinuing the Trials Zero so if you like them (and they are bl@@dy good) get them now. The "Courier" Boot is basically the same but with a "sock and a metal toe for those not quick enough to get the "Silver" boot.

    2006 Sherco

Well the Info I have gleaned is that mechanically the 125 bike has a redesigned/new engine, new suspension front and rear, New rear swing arm. I'm not sure about a new frame, but cosmetically the frame will be a dark colour. Should be worth a look. I don't know about the other 2t's as obviously the 125 is been developed to cope with a wider age(and weight) group than before.

    2006 Sherco

It's throwing a spanner in the works for Chris! He wanted the Gas Gas 125 but with all the rumours about the Sherco we are waiting to see what the all new 125 is like?
  7. Just been up on the way back from the Autotowbars. It's windy up there and the tip is watch out for Section 10!

  9. ""In Junior Kickstart I'll never forget the young lad who fell on the 'pole-over-the-hole'. He hurt his pride and almost destroyed his manhood, but the ensuing rush of St John's Ambulance men into the pit, where they all fell over, was a piece of television hysteria! (and history!)." Taken from the Peter Purves Website Wasn't that a young Graham Jarvis???????
  10. Noboby has mentioned the comments made by I think it was Sam Connor and relayed by Jack Burnicle. That is that Hawkstone was a challenging, difficult trial but UNLIKE some recent rounds he didn't feel he was risking his life doing it! Looking at the injuries in some of the preceeding rounds and the fact riders did crash out at Hawkstone but did not have the severity of the previous rounds it does look bad for the rounds concerned. Did anyboy who went feel they were that bad??? Also Watching the riders thru a couple of sections with their minders I was surprised how agitated Raga's Minders were compared to everybody else's.
  11. Yep, we got corrected by Mel and Cherry a while back. I "hung" round Section 14 a while and the difference between the Junior and world contestants was that stone "gate" on the way in. All the world round contenders "stood" the bike on the back wheel. Alll the Junior's barring James footed to get both wheels on. Oh and that dog was BIIGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. I'd have thought a lot of riders would want to go if only to get experience of an Indoor event.
  13. Truvelo Cameras use Wire's in the road and are forward facing hence useless against bikes. The Mobile Scamera'S are also forward facing but they have been known to pop out and get the number as you go past.
  14. Angela carries a Laptop with multiple batteries at the event and it has a system to collate the scores. Don't know if Richmond pioneered the use of it but the Laptop they use has such a long battery life it makes it feasible to do the results at the event just leaving the upload and emailing to do. It's so good Yeadon & Guiseley bought the same one! I have seen other clubs use laptops but usually they have a generator to power them.
  15. Ok, guys Addingham Moorside will be closed for practising from the 28th July until the 8th of August. This is to allow for the setup of the National trial taking place on the 7th August. Edited date because it was early morning
  16. Talking to Katherine Wardle's dad and Her bike has a few mods(05 125), Polished ports, Carb spacer fitted and the 250 exhaust. They do make a difference at the bottom end according to him.
