Pat goes on the course in about 30 minutes. He's very determined and focused this morning. As usual, you'll be receiving as good of coverage as I can muster. Wish I could say I was as focused. If you know what I mean? LOL.

The Bangor Sea is angry today. We've got winds clocking near 40 miles an hour. It nearly zero degrees - and Pat's riding like crap. Absolute CRAP! Pat and I got into a heated discussion on section 4, as I was trying to get the 17 year olds head in the game.

Yet, somehow, he's tied for first after the first loop with 2 others (Jack Challoner and Alex Ferrer) at 15 dabs. If we ever needed some extra prayers, nows the time.

great job pat, podium finishes are great, don't beat yourself with to much pressure remember it's supposed to be fun and a learning experience. take it all in and enjoy. remember the hard times make us stronger and better. if you can finish on podium when your not pleased with your riding just think what you can do when you relax and ride your best.

Patrick, just pretend you're back in the shed in Wisconsin - no pressure. We all just want you to enjoy the experience and log some battle time. Keep your head up! A podium finish in world-level competition is absolutely fantastic!
