What would I be giving up by going with this instead of a 2009 EVO? The price on the 2008 model is about 15% less money wise than the 2009 model. Thanks! jimg Posted June 12, 2009 Report Share Posted June 12, 2009 Consider resale value of the 08 vs the 09. Whenever you plan to sell the bike, the 09 should always off-set your initial %15 investment. As an owner of a 08 and 09 Beta, and to keep my opinion brief, the 09 is a much better competition bike and rides much better. Depends when the pedals have been made I guess. I think the top lads had a bit of an issue so the pedal now has a little extra bit on each side. Mine was fine before. I have an 09 250 and was wondering what to look out for if a problem starts on mine?
