Bultaco @ Telford

Featured Replies

At the recent Telford show there was a Bultaco trials bike with a chromed frame standing next to a Model 10 near to Dave Renham's stand. The front half of the frame looked std Bult but the rear was quite different, do you know the make of frame or reason for its modification.

  • Damn it, I was speaking to Jon May at the show and didn't realise it was his bike until much later, I could have asked him all about it! I reckon its probably an early motor in a modified later frame,

  • Do not have to be the original repalcement kit Bultaco had sold back then but yes this gastank seat combo fit's a little bit better IMHO to the engine: Here as an example:

I wasn't there but from what you describe it could have been one of Steve Wilson's specials. Was the fuel tank the airbox and the airbox the fuel tank like a JCM, the latest Sherco or the new Ossa?

A world round ?

One only. Not the bikes fault. Nor magical Micks. Still down as the oldest rider to win a world round at 36.

Vesterinen's Bultacos were really nice too, they've won real trials, what's a Majesty won?????

Only the hearts and wallets of many Twinshock riders around the world. Same for the Honda TLR250, which also didn't win any world titles
