I think you are stuck with raising the peg profile or lowering the lever profile aka bending it. The levers do bend before braking, I have a badly bent one on one of my TRS now.

Sorry, yes I can adjust the piston, I’ve done that. But it’s the pedal physically hitting the frame that is stopping me from adjusting further. Do all TRS’s have a pedal that’s a lot higher than the peg? Do most people prefer this set-up?? On all my other Trials bikes I’ve been able to get the brake at the same height as the peg.

As a follow up to this we ended up putting a spacer under the barrel and using longer pushrods.

Would Rock Oil GRO work in a 2023 Gasgas TXT gear box? I know Rock Oil has a specific oil for trials bikes but I can’t get it where I am. I’m getting conflicting results from Google Ai and websites. Thanks!

Is it possible to get a different brake pedal that sits lower? Ideally i want my lever no higher than my peg, currently it bottoms out on the frame. I've filed an amount from the bottom of the lever, but i'm still not as low as i'd like. Has anyone else come across this?

Just seen your reply……..interesting . I find it fine with plenty of grip at 3 psi. It was very stiff with little grip until it’d been on and ridden for few hours, now supple and grippy.

No. The site will be forums only moving forward. I don't have the time or the motivation for the rest of it. The forums were brought back because of the number of emails I got about them and the fact they are very well indexed by search engines. The Forums do have an inbuilt calendar capability which I've enabled and I will create forums for Results and Classifieds.

I went with the new Kenda Ibex K7105 rear tire because I read great reviews about them and they’re less than half the price of a Michelin or Dunlop. They’re even cheaper than the IRCs. I still have my Michelins on my bike but I wanted a spare rear tire. Every time I looked at the Michelins I felt like they were trying to rip me off. I simply don’t know why they’re so expensive. One can get a huge, fat Pirelli street racing tire that’s DOT approved and designed for high speeds for a lot less than a Michelin. Yes, they are great tires…I’m not saying they’re not. I’m not competing or a professional but I can’t see how a Kenda is going to let me down. Several pros have switched to them saying they’re as good as a Michelin. I suppose people just want to say they have Michelins on their bikes as a status symbol. Well, ok then but I’m not going to throw my money away unless Honda wants to buy me my tires like they do for Toni Bou. The Kenda’s are kind of hard to get here in the states. Many places sell them but you have to be fast because they sell out very quickly. I paid $124 with free shipping even.

Hi Ron, I did notice recently that the site was down, I was googling info on my bikes and Trials Central kept coming up. The old bikes are cool, but can be a bit problematic. The Monty is refusing to start at the moment. I’ve got spark, I think I may have some sort of blockage on the carb. I recently pulled the carby off because I left the fuel on overnight and it flooded the cylinder. Now she no go…. More investigation needed. Eagle8, I’m in the Dandenongs. I’m also a member of OMCC, I just joined up actually. I was down there last Sunday. I’ve got a dark blue 105 series Landcruiser, if you see it wander over and introduce yourself. 👍

I rode a trial back in May which was quite muddy and the TL01 did fine - better than I expected. I weigh about 190lbs with gear and usually run 4psi in most rear tires, but 2.0 to 2.5 in the TL01. I think your weight and conditions (wet/dry) will influence how much psi you'd run. The remarkably stiff sidewall makes them a total pain to change, but hopefully they will be less likely to get cut on rocks or other sharp objects. We don't seem to have the old 803s anymore, so it's a choice between this TL01, a $300 Michelin, or an IRC. I bought an IRC recently and it wouldn't hold air. One of my friends had his fall completely off the rim 2 miles from his truck. We should start a new thread on this subject; I'd like to hear others' experience with the IRC.

G'day Scott, i used to race MX in Vic from early 70's to 2000 mainly in the Gippsland area , i'm also playing round with Trials bikes now & i'm a member of Oakleigh MCC , what part of Vic do you live in ?
