  1. The start Dougie has made on the Beta is disappointing to say the least, I just watched a clip of Doug from around a year and a half ago when he was questioned about Dabbil beating him and he replied 'Is that a pig I see flying over' ! ... How things can change in a very short period of time It's not looking to good for Doug and certainly cant be good for Beta.. Any views on how this will all end ? .. will he get over it and sort his riding on the Beta ... or is this one just too much of a mountain to climb this time. Really disappointing ... perhaps he might be better off on the Beta 4 banger ? On the bright side, it shows what an awesome machine the 4rt really is .…

  2. Started by city trials,

Andrew (Nigel Dabster) asked a question in another thread about Patrick and the next world rounds. Patrick will be 18 by the next round, the choices he makes from here on out are his. I'm sure Noel still will have influence in Pat's future, and Noel indicated to me he'd rather see Pat finish the season in the Junior class, on a big bike. I think this is a terrible call. Now, it's up to Pat of course. But, I'd prefer to see Patrick finish the season off on the 125 and try to work his way into the runner-up position. If possible. That's if all his injuries have properly healed by then. I invested a ton into this season. I'd like to see top results in one championship …

40 points up for grabs at the last 2 rounds in Switzerland, Fuji is on 250 after this weekend Doug is on 226 and Raga on 222. A fellow told me without doubt no one was practicing harder or spending more time on the bike than Fuji this season, and if he wasn't on his bike he was down the Gym working on keeping in top shape, looking at the results from the season this looks true to form and the man who wanted it the most went out and earned it. The last two rounds will come down who will be second, Doug has a four point advantage over Raga, but to hold on to second place needs to beat him at least one of the days Fuji just needs to go quietly round and finish safely to be…

125 Youth Cup world champion Daniel Oliveras took second place in his first Jr World Round attempt. Can anyone now say this 125 class isn't worthy of developing young riders at the highest level? Way to go Dani!

Good luck to Doug, Graham and all the British trials riders representing GB in the 2005 WTC at all levels.

Having just seen the review these comments (not word perfect) had me sipping hard on me alcohol. 1) Gas Gas was lucky this year but will soon have to go 4t. 2) Mark Freixa's cards are marked; his performance is under close observation for the season ahead - possibly Bou or Fajardo to take over. 3) Cabestancy disappointed with his bike (comment i think was made on the third round) Antonio Bou's surname is it prenouced, "Boo" or "Bow"? Kenichi name pronunciation was a little dodge. I buy Duke because i like their product and because there is no alterative that i'm aware of? Overall a very good review, later commentary could be a little less monotone.

It was obviously very disapointing that Dougie didn't achieve his 100 WTC round win in front of a home crowd and thus make it 3 British riders topping all the podiums. But it was great to see Fujigas take a momentous win. The pressure of needing to clean the very last section certainly showed at the end, especially for a nation not readily associated with displays of emotion. He is certainly keeping the pressure on Raga, lets hope Doug can also contribute to that pressure. Well done to Browny and Wiggy and Dibs looked to be having a cracking ride on lap 1, shame it went a bit Pete Tong on lap 2. As for Doug's 100 WTC. Andorra.

See that the wildcards have been annouced for the indoor rounds. Jeroni Fajardo and Taddy Blazusiak are in for all rounds. So much for giving other youngsters a chance! Looks like the only other rider to get a look in will be Jerome Bethune at a couple of the rounds. Would of thought Dabill would of got at least 1 or 2 rides.

  16. Started by cota kid,

Lets be honest if the British Team of Doug, Dibs and Grimbo manage to take the title from Spain, then it will probably be the biggest ever upset in World Trials. Especially with a Spanish team that boasts the best 3 indoor riders in the World in Bou, Raga and Cabestany. Mind you they still have a better chance against the Spanish than Middlesbrough have against Arsenal. But this is sport and strange things happen. Good luck to the team, I'm sure they will give 100%. (thats both GB and Boro).

Its great to see that Jarvis, Kuroyama, Nozaki are all making a welcome return to the World Stage, well at least for the Spanish Round. Whether or not they plan to ride any further rounds I don't know. But last years Championship was a little lacking without their prescence. Be also good to see the North East's Michael Phillipson also making the long trip to Andulacia

It's so hard to choose a favorite photo when you take so many. This photo keeps catching my eye every time I view it. This was at the Ireland WTC event, during practice. Quite an army of minders. Check the number and placement of each spotter all the way up the wall. I'm guessing about 20 feet straight up with no run. Frankly, I don't remember if Fuji ever made it or not.

  20. Started by cota kid,

Its got to be Michael Browns Top Trial Team Beta. Black Frame, red anodised clamps and the forks look fantastic.
