Bike Trials

Hey guys im looking to get myself and my fiance into bike trials as part of assisted training for more practice and just to have some fun. Where is a good place to start? where can i look to get a bike here in the states (Colorado for that manner). Any info on where to buy a bike and some learning material would be great.

Hi, I've just bought my lad a used Saracen 2 zero MAD (if that makes a difference??). It needs new tyres and thought I'd ask for some advice. Which should I buy (He's only 9 so I guess the cheapest? but is that wise?) What should I expect to pay ? Any advice on where to buy them (we're between Leeds and Bradford, West Yorks) ? The current tyres say 20 inch but someone told me we need 19inch on the rear. Looking on the internet there seems to be both. I presume we need 20inch. True ? The widths seem odd, the bike has 2.125 on the front and 2.25 on the rear. Are these standard sizes ? If I can't/don't match these widths, what do recommend I go for and would I ne…

Word coming from Dan Brown on the TTC website shows the North American Trials Series expert class was won by our own moto-trials Pro rider Patrick Smage at TTC yesterday. Kudo's kiddo!

Some of you will know Sam and Tom Oliver. Ex Motorcycle Trials Riders (well still ride now and then) - converted to bike trials fairly recently, and been training hard, including the odd excursion with Ot Pi. The work showed today at round 1 of the British Champs: Sam came 1st in his age group (12-13) by a fairly large margin, losing 5 marks, the next being around the 40 mark. Round four of the Biketrial Federation British Trials Cup will be held at Bracken Rocks in just under two weeks' time on Sunday 18th September. Everyone is welcome, either as a rider or as a spectator, and no licences or memberships are needed to enter! Enrties can be made online via the BTF Events page, or by post (print the form off from the events page). Do you have to have the ability to hop around on the front and back wheel? to ride bike trials? Or is it like moto trials where only the experienced are riding on the back wheel?and the rest of mere mortals are riding around on two wheels. Forgive my ignorance for i have not been to bike trials event and cannot find a normal(for want of a better word) bike trials vid on youtube.

Well apart from being top world trials riders they all made there name in winning world biketrial championships before they moved to the motorized variety. They have managed to transfer the skills they learnt on a bicycle with balance and hopping onto the motorbikes with great success. im looking to buy a bike and i would like a 26" as i think a 20" would be to small but im unsure about gears what are the pros and cons of a single speed over one which has gears?
