Jean Williams Memorial Trial (Formerly Forest Trophy Trial) coming up soon in Mid Wales - 27th May (bank holiday weekend). A big day out, 40 sections all off road, 4 routes from Sportsman to Expert. Entries limited to 220. Fun trial, yes there are trophies, but the main theme of the trial is just a bl**dy good long day out on the bike. If you haven't tried it, maybe you need to. Same land as the Mid Wales S3 trial held earlier this year. Forest_trophyregs2018a.pdf

What a wonderful trial we had this year. Just perfect. 200 riders, all ages, all types of bike. Sections set out as they should be, to allow riders of proper iron a chance to make a difference against the ever more tricked out machines. Proper sounds in the air and proper smells of leather, oil, and burning petrol as bikes roared happily up every one of the sections cheered on by the masses of people straining to find the best angle to watch the action. Better still, brothers won both over 300cc sprung classes on original, unmolested, standard bikes from the period, a truly unique occurrence recording for all that you do not need to spend £12k to gain every advan…

Ashwicke classic trial. A massive thankyou to Jon Cull and all that supported him in laying on a most fantastic classic trial today. The trial catered for all abilities and the experience of the course plotters shone through with some really creative sections. Best of all the proceeds all went to charity! Thanks again Jon and the team for memorable and thoroughly enjoyable day.

Our next trial is the 8th April which has road work and is part of the Northern British series. After that it's April 29th at Rhodesia (Worksop), this not being the normal date as the land owner is attending the classic Scottish

Went along to Hungry Hill today for Thames MCC's Mike Kemp trial for twinshock and P65 - Several people asked me where they could find the photos i was taking - they are here on a public facebook gallery. It was a difficult day for some following some considerable recent rain, and then at the very end the heavens opened just as we were going home. Hope the brave volunteers from Thames MCC didn't get too wet! - Thanks for a great day.
