Hi all, this Sunday 13th February, Sheffield & Hallamshire mc are running a trial at Dudwood Farm, Elton in Derbyshire with a start time of 10:30am. This is a change to our usual Eadons Fields venue and will be a bit of a change. All classes are catered for except sidecars and youth D class. The trial will have 3 routes: hard, clubman and easy and will be run under no-stop rules. The trial will be layed out very flowing with nothing silly and will be a good day out for all. The easy route is aimed at riders wanting a nice run round with their mates and is suitable for beginners. It would be nice to see a few of you there. Observers are always required and will be r…

The 1st round of the Huddersfield Falcons 2011 club championship is to be held at Nethermoor farm this coming Sunday. For those who haven’t been to Nethermoor before it is a fantastic venue with plenty of natural sections. Deatails of how to get there can be found on the club website, www.falconmcc.co.uk. The club has reverted back to TSR22A STOP ALLOWED rules for 2011 as the majority of riders seem to prefer them. This doesn’t mean that the sections are going to be stupidly tight with big steps and no run up. The idea is still to have nice flowing sections, challenging with nothing dangerous, but those who can do all that fancy ‘hoppin n bobbin’ can do if they so wish…

Big thanks and full marks for the hardy team from Spen Valley who braved harsh weather up at Harden Moor and pegged out the first Championship Trial of 2011. The severity of the sections across the new formatt of 3 routes was as far as I could see SPOT ON. I would encourage anyone to come along and try the new Spen Valley formula. Pity about the weather though blew a howler with horizontal rain - so big thanks to all those brave and wet observers too. If this is repeated in future events then the future is looking good ! Cheers Giles.

The Valentine trial on the 23rd January will now be run at Bourne Bridge, the venue scheduled for the December trial. Located opposite the services at the four went ways junction of the A11 and A1307. This is necessary as the track leading up to the site at rectory farm is in a very bad state and it is unlikely that vehicles will be able to negotiate it.
