  1. Started by djdenzil,

Having not rode this trial for a few years is it recommended to carry fuel, they only reason is that I remember that one of our group ran out and and had to push his bike for a mile or so? Has the route changed so much since 2005/6? How big is the lap?

  4. Jean Williams Memorial Trial (Formerly Forest Trophy Trial) coming up soon in Mid Wales - 27th May (bank holiday weekend). A big day out, 40 sections all off road, 4 routes from Sportsman to Expert. Entries limited to 220. Fun trial, yes there are trophies, but the main theme of the trial is just a bl**dy good long day out on the bike. If you haven't tried it, maybe you need to. Same land as the Mid Wales S3 trial held earlier this year. Forest_trophyregs2018a.pdf

  5. Regs and entry out for the Big One, the Jean Williams Memorial Trial - 26th May 2019. Held about 20 miles West of Welshpool in amazing Welsh countryside. Now in it's 18th consecutive year. Great fun trial, great sections, great atmosphere. Great :-) Approx 40 sections, one lap of about 25 miles, all classes, age 6 to 86 (ish). All off road, pass back through the start to refuel twice so no mobile fuelling required. Big screen results throughout the day. Catering, toilets, marquee for entries. Don't miss out! Observers always welcome, we'll get your food and drink. Join us for the big day! Forest_trophyregs2019b.pdf

Big thanks to all involved organisers observers, fantastic trial, well-done all of you. 40 sections - 2 laps of twenty over quite a big lap in amazing countryside, me Ralph and The Goat Ryan did the 50/50 route which was perfect for us . Real variety of sections from mud/slippy to streams/steps/waterfalls all very ridable and no Geof Capes moments. Few ran out of fuel on the first lap, mainly gassers so the actual lap must have been quite long. Finished in about 5 and a half hours as it just started to lash it down. Met Eiger on here, he can ride that TY with the best of them as well, and had a few good chats with some of the observers. Had a ***** first 10 sections mai…

Hope all is well. This is a reminder that the Macc club (www.macctrials.co.uk) are hoping (subject to the foot and mouth crisis) to run a cracking road trial on 21st Oct. The start is near a pub - the Wild Boar - who have a campsite at the rear of the pub. (Check the link from the club site) 20 sections and 2 laqps. So the plan is that after pitching tents on the Sat night we enter the pub where the recently employed Andrew Cecil Hallam (as long as he has enough time now he's working all these hours!) has promised to buy all trials enthusiasts a round from his moth infested wallet!!! Southerners are welcome as long as they ride with 50 psi in both front and rear tyres! …
