Reg Treble riding a Yamaha Serrow won Sundays Sphinx LDT held by the Cheltenham Home Guard Club. With a bumper 120 rider entry, Reg held his nerve around the 90 mile, thirty section course to record the only clean sheet of the day. In runner up spot, Regs' team mate Dave Cottle on board a Kawasaki KTX250 lost just one mark in the mud of section three way out at Guiting Ford high on the Cotswold hills. Third place went to Stratford Upon Avon club rider Liam O'Reilly on a borowed Gas Gas Pampera. Best lady in the event was Trudi Silvey also riding a Yamaha Serrow who lost 41 marks. With Pete Barnett first 250+ trail on a DRZ400 Many of the 30 sections only caught out the…

St Davids 2011 12 section done and dusted and all marked out for Saturdays practice and Sundays trial. 3 brand new ones and the rest all heavily modified. Some mega climbs and lots of banks and mud. Forecast is good for Saturday but looking like rain for Sunday. Sections have a good selection of traditional style hazards and a wet day may make the results interesting as if wet then grip will be at a premium Come along and watch Dibs and co get stuck into the sections.

As no other post yet with results here they are as I remember them - please correct and add as you see fit. Dry weather made the muddy banks etc very grippy allowing for some super riding making the scores lower than expected/anticipated. Thanks to all who rode, attended or helped in anyway Results J Dabill - 10 A Wigg - 12 M Brown - not sure as had bike problems on last lap that probably cost him the trial - had 1 mark advantage on James after 2nd lap Exp A - G Macdonald -2 Exp B - J Woods- 2 Youth - J Luter-Evans

Stafford Auto will be running the Bert Tolfree and presentation trial followed by barbeque on Saturday 25th June at 4pm, Manor Farm, Milwich, Staffs The Tolfree Cup is awarded to the best Pre65 rider and celebrates the services of Bert, our longest serving member, now xx years young. The trial has all the usual classes of exp/inter/nov/o40 etc. although sections are aimed primarily at Pre65 and twinshocks. Two routes, the harder route will be pitched at giving twinshock riders a reasonable challenge whereas the easier route will be set for the Pre65 bikes, but it isn't run as a classic trial to no-stop rules.. Regardless of the bike that you ride, modern, t/s or Pre65, …

We rode in the Stourbridge club trial at Shatterford this afternoon. "Be back in time for tea" I said as I lef the house at 12 o-clock. What I didn't expect, nor did the hard working club members, was a bumper turnout of 72 riders! Didn't get home until 7pm!!!! 72 on a Saturday afternoon! It just goes to show how popular the sensible sections the the club sets out have become! Nothing dangerous, nothing really challenging, just a really well set out little club trial in a wood.... spot on! It also helps when the weather is so good, first trial this year where I didn't wear a jacket at all. Thanks to all at the Stourbridge club.
