The Scott Trial. Marske, 21-10-2017 The Scott Trial takes place on 0ctober 21st at Marske. The one hundred year old event is the toughest one day cross country trial in Europe using a course of eighty miles of moorland. The entry list is full with 200 starters. Four recent winners compete. Silsden’s Dougie Lampkin, former multi world indoor and outdoor champion, heads the list with multi British champion James Dabill as well as the World and British female trials champion Emma Bristow. Allan Jefferies Trial 2016 10th July 2016 Just a quick heads up for you to pencil the date in your diaries for this years Allan Jefferies Trophy Trial. Work began on planning and assessing options for this year event way back in August of last year – barely a month after the 2015 event. Nobody can ever accuse those two (old !) stalwarts, Major Injury and General Disdain, of not being keen. At the moment the stats are for a total mileage of approx 28 miles, with 36/38 sections on offer for riders to pit their wits and test their skill set. The Stratford-Upon-Avon Club are holding the Colmore Cup on Sunday 8th March which will be a round of the 2009 Novogar Clubmans Championship. New for this year, the Colmore will have a less severe 'non-championship' route on 50% of the sections. The non-championship route will be aimed at riders who would like to ride in the 'Oldest National Trial' in the calendar but who would previously have found the Colmore Sections a little too challenging. Starting at Downs Farm near Bourton-On-The-Hill, the 30 mile route will include such favourites as Dovedale, Camp, Top Farm and Saintbury Quarry. The Stratford-Upon-Avon Club are running the Colmore Cup as a one-off National for 2006, on the 5th March. Starting at a new venue; Downs Farm near Bourton-on-the-Hill, (signposted from A44) the 40 section 25mile road trial will visit many of the favourite traditional Groups high on the Cotswold hills, plus five brand new sections in the steep wood at Top Farm overlooking the Vale of Evesham. In it's 75+ year history Colmore Winners include, Sammy Miller, Steve Saunders, Steve Colley, Dougie Lampkin, Sam Conner and Graham Jarvis. Stan Peel is the man who knows every farmer in Nidderdale and Wharfedale. The former rally driver and sporting car trials ace has been involved in the organisation of the trial when it was an Ilkley Motor Club event, before it was transferred to the Airedale & Pennine Motor Club. Barry Robinson was bike C of C when the late Peter Colman ran it for Ilkley Motor Club, and is now the Press Officer. Alan Forest is the owner of the motorcycle engined buggy in which Stan Peel opens the course, through every section enroute. Hi, the regs are out!! Regs for this years Jack Wood have been posted to those who entered last year and supplied and envelope, also they are now available on the TC Calendar. So far some of the more enterprising have used standard entry forms and a blank cheque (whoo-hoo, new bike for me)or the details on the ACU web-site; which means there are alreay 40 or so entries - please be quick it will close when full which was within a week last year. The trial itself will still be 50 sections over 1 lap, imagine if Carlsberg did a national, this would be it

The entry details for this Trial dropped through my letter box this morning. Without doubt it was the best one day Clubman Trial I rode in last year, it wasn't easy by any means but every section was on & there was nowt daft or intimidating. One lap of 50 sections on a fairly tight time limit & a proper set of rules, let's hope it's not foggy this year so we can see where we're off!

I was just wondering what the Knock trial in bathgate is like. Ive heard the distances between the sections is pretty big.

The 2nd August sees the return of YG DMC's turn to host a round of the British Solo Trials Championship. The MacKenzie Trophy Trial will be held at Brimham Rocks, Harrogate. The event is a fantastic family day out that allows riders and fans to come along and watch the best of the British Trials Riders compete in some of the best sections Britain has to offer the trialing world. The venue to very accessable to people of all ages, allowing for all familys to have an enjoyable day out. Catering is available throughout the day. Car parking

The programme, route and entry list for this years OK Supreme LDT can be viewed HERE As entries are down for some reason this year, anyone who would like to ride may enter on the day for no extra charge on a no award basis. This years event has been shortened to 60 miles and will include a number of sections with a hard route for the championship riders and those entered on trials bikes. Pete

Sheffield & Hallamshire motor club are hosting the final round of the Challenge Lusky British sidecar trials championships in the vicinity of Hope in Derbyshire on Sunday 7th November. The trial will have the usual sidecar classes but will also have a solo Expert and Clubman route. This year a new team is running the event and we have made significant changes largely to the route of the trial. For any regulars we will be starting at the usual Blue Circle cement works in Hope village and will take in the usual starter group of Elmore Hill farm at Brough which is only a couple of miles from the start and then the ride over to the excellent rocky stream at Offerton Hal…

I have just Finished The Jubilee Trial and just want to say this was the Best trial i have ever rode. The Day was so well organised and with the best Venue. The sections were Outstanding and with such verity Streams, Woods, Hills The views were Amazing with Waterfalls and huge Forest Hillsides 80 miles of pure pleasure to Ride. I have to take my Hat off to all of the organisers of this Event as it was outstanding. Many Thanks To all that made this Happen as i know a lot of Hard Work went in to make this Happen.

So Sunday is the Wallace and with all this wet weather and talk of some top riders enterd who will be The top 3 and on what Score. And for something i am going to keep an eye on is how many will the rider finishing in 30th place will drop, after all the talk in recent weeks about easing the Novogar up we will now see?
