I have looked on the web but can't see any info for this as regards locations. I will be on the Island for the GP and would like to find out where the sections are on Sunday the 29th. As I shall be bicycle mounted I want to plot movements early to minimise toing and froing. Grateful for any info.

I've rode the Lyn Traders Trophy Trial now for the last 5 years and i must say what an awesome trial it is. Its a national trial so therefore has 2routes around some fantastic land in north devon. Thing is, the amount of pot hunting GRABBERS who claim they are clubmen and ride the easy route(which i must say is far from easy but alot more managable than the expert route). If you win a award you do get a cash reward which is very nice but how can you give it a good go when you get damn good experts riding your route and basically stealing this from you. If you wanna be a big boy then surely ride the big boys route, the people who do this know who they are. I find th…

It started off well; The day started off with perfect weather and the first off was Leigh following No1 away a few seconds after 9am, We piled into the team van and rushed off to the first petrol check to make the first switch. However after a frantic run around the hill looking for petrol check 1 (along with about two dozen vans causing chaos in the tight Yorkshire lanes) we eventually found it about a mile away from last years location. Leigh came in on time even after loosing 10 mins throwing his chain a couple of times, and Grant sped off.

Our BC round starting off from the new Ice Factor complex. Sections completely different from last year. More traditional but don't let that fool you with some streams having numerous steps rangeing from 4 -15 in height. Trial more suitable for the present rules. Practise starts on Sat 4-6.Trial starts 9am the following morning. The B C still has to be decided so come along and see Steve Colley attempting to close the series as Champion or push current champion Graham Jarvis for an outright win on the day!Good spectating. For me, this is a problem that keeps coming up. I think a few people fell fowl of it today. The marking in our area is generally very slack with regard to giving a one for stopping. I can count on one hand the number of ones I've had in the past few years for stopping (Before anyone says anything, yes that's about six ). One in South Wales, one in the Midlands (infact every time I dabbed my brake I could hear the bloke counting ), and a couple locally (one of them today). The trouble is when so few people actually observe the rule, it comes as a shock to some people when it's actually used. I think the Welsh Championship is one place it comes up, because the view is, th…

For Ayrshire enthusiasts : Just discovered that one of the finest offroad practice areas is now permanently closed (The Mauchline bing nr Ramsay agricultural) I was informed that due to the level of illegal activities (criminal) dumping and violence and abuse targeted at the owners of the access road - The police and part owners of the land (British Coal) have agreed to close access to the bing. Over the years, this bing had developed into one of the finest local (unofficial) offroad practice areas to be found. On any given Sunday you could find a mix of motocross, quad, trials, 4x4 enthusiasts etc. enjoying the 100% perfect site. This bing had everything. I…

Just wanted to say what a top club it is, with a superb friendly gang of people as well as some great trials and venues!!... If anyone is looking for somewhere to ride / join then this is a great place to start. But more importantly thanks to all who tried to help me get my Gasser going yesterday, when it died before the start, and especially to Graham (with his busted foot and all that metal) who spent an hour on one leg fixing it before finally getting it running!! Even managed to rush round and get finished on time (even if it meant a few more marks than I'd have hoped for). Not many sports or parts of life where you get so many top people in one place and all keen a…
