Hi All, I think Cubby may be able to help me out on this one as I think I remember him saying he's on the committee, but open to info from anyone who's ridden/organised it. Having not ridden the Manx 2 day before I'm after some info if possible please. Do you know when the Regs will be available and how we can get hold of them? Are they downloadable somewhere, or is there a web site I can look out for them on? How are the entries allocated? Presumably it's limited entry? Is it by ballot or first come first served? What time on Friday (presumably) do we need to report, or is it Sat morning? Thanks, Gaz

Rode on Sunday and I think there were less tha 40 riders. For those that don't know Scout provides a great ride round with a decent moor crossing. The sections were on the easy side, but tricky enough to take marks. A mixture of stream and quarry type sections. Worth bearing in mind for future events.

At the finish of the Colmore yesterday, it was rumoured that today was the last national ride for Steve Saunders. I for one hope that this is not the case and, if it is, I for one would like to thank Steve for all the entertainment he has given us since his adult debut at the Colmore in 1982. Two events spring readily to mind to lay claim to his postion in trials folklore: 1 British Experts victory on the Rothmans Honda at Hawkstone Park where he paralized everyone and won by goodness knows how many marks 2 British world round at Peterfield, in the pouring rain, on the works Fantic. Nobody, but nobody can find grip like Steve, which was demonstated at todays Colmore…

Its nice to see tha acu take on board problems and deal with them - NOT! Just been back home for dinner and had a quick read through the selected riders list, 17 on the british championship course, 5 or 6 on the masters, 29 on the expert route, 5 riders from youth. with 9 in priority order for the reserve list - Which includes riders such as Richard Timperley, Nathan Wrigglesworth etc - who both, i will admit are better riders than me! So how does the ACU board select these riders, is it on merit, previous results etc, because i find it hard to believe that Maria Conway can be accepted straight on to the expert championship list, and Richard Timperley can't, Th…

This Sunday is Colmore Cup day. Not a round of the Clubmans Championship this year but we have still attracted nearly 100 riders. Start is at Lemington Lakes Fishery on the outskirts of Moreton-in-Marsh. Cooked breakfast is cheap and highly recommended! Snow might still be on the weather forecast, but Wrighty says he will fix it to be dry and sunny if you all spend enough money with him! First man away at 9:30 (I think) for the 25 mile tour of the classic Cotswold sections. I will post results when I can get to a computer, which will probably be Monday morning, but feel free to post before that. 1 Scott Inman 280 Aqueous Solutions Gas Gas Brotherton 2 Wayne Holdsw…

I got this from the SACU yesterday. What do you think? DISPLAY OF RIDING NUMBERS TO ASSIST OFFICIALS TO IDENTIFY RIDERS DURING AN EVENT IT WAS REQUESTED LAST YEAR THAT MACHINES HAVE THE RIDER LICENCE NUMBER CLEARLY DISPLAYED ON THE FRONT OF THE BIKE. TO SPEED UP THE PROCEDURE THE TRIALS COMMITTEE HAVE DECIDED CLUBS ARE TO PENALISE THOSE RIDERS WHO FAIL TO DO THIS WITH A 10 MARK ADDITION TO THEIR SCORE. IT MAY ALSO HELP RIDRS JUMPING ON THE WRONG BIKE! NUMBERS TO BE BLACK ON A WHITE BACKGROUND MINIMUM SIZE 2 INCHES USING THE LAST THREE DIGITS ONLY. OF COURSE IF CLUBS SUPPLY A RIDING NUMBER THAT WILL SUPERCEDE THE LICENCE NUMBER. JOHN DAVIES (TRIALS COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN)
