I recall reading about the existence of an event called the ACU 1000 Mile Trial - I forget where. Possibly run in the early 1900s. Does anyone have any information on it? What happened to it? Just out of interest. Thanks.

What can i say Javier,Cabrianes is a Classic Trial in every way,Like Robregordo,Cabrianes has all the passion and atmosphere a Classic Trial should have. All the Brit's that have done Robregordo will know what i mean. Hopefully i can return next year to give Cabrianes another bash. A big Thank You from me to:-Javier,Carlos Bosch,Sotobike crew and Mick Andrew's and Co for making me feel welcome, and also everyone there that helped me out during the weekend and not forgetting Victor Martin from MotoCat who gave me a lift back to the Airport on the sunday evening. Motoclub Baix Bergueda,Respect. All The Best. Steve.

Hi Folks, Hope you don't get tired of me asking these questions. The Bultaco deal fell through. Can someone tell me the difference between a 1972 Ossa MAR and a 1973 Ossa Explorer. They look the same. Are frame geometry, motor and gearing similar to the MAR. Would the 73 Explorer make a good trials bike. And if so, what would I need to change other than tank, seat and sprockets. Thanks folks, Gordon

Hi All This is my first post. I'm located in Johannesburg South Africa. I currently ride classic trials on a circa '67-71 BSA Bantam that I built up. I am about to get a Cheetah Villiers trials bike which is mostly original and has some history, including participation in the Scottish six days. I believe that this brand was a "kit bike". Does anyone have any pics or info that I may use to assist me to restore it correctly. I intend to ride this one in classic trials too. Thanks in advance David Haines

As some of you know i am heavily involved with a couple of local Classic Clubs and have stood on my soapbox on many occaisions in the past about Classic trials etc. Well one of the Clubs is having big problems with small entries. Basically if things dont soon change the club will have to either use one venue only or close. The Club needs approx 35 entries minimum to break even at most venues. Ok some are more expensive, Bracken Rocks etc, than others, typically Carsons Fm, but the Club has been making a loss of late and this can not and will not continue. So what to do ? Raise entry fees ? well they are currently

This bike is listed as a 1975 Sherpa T. To me it looks like a 1971 M80. Can any experts out there confirm the bike for me please?
