Hola, So, is Robregordo the bonus prize for missing out on the Pre 65 Scottish, hands up who's off to help empty the Spanish wine lake..... and take in the trial as well. Anybody fancy breaking up the journey down, I live about three inches down from Limoges and three inches in from Bordeaux have access to some excellent if not superb trials land, so if you want to get you eye in before the trial let me know , its about halfway in distance. Hopefully Micky and I will be there on twinshocks so the countdown begins.. Hasta la vista....

RENISHAW HALL Nr Chesterfield / Worksop A bit off topic but I'm guessing that if you are into Classic Trials you are into Classic bikes and cars too? Next Wednesday night is the yearly classic car/bike meet organised by the Chesterfield Rotary in aid of Sheffield Weston Park Hospital at Renishaw Hall. http://www.sitwell.co.uk/calendar.php I have been along couple of times and there are hundreds of car and bike enthusiasts displaying on the lawns. I will be taking along my Grinnall Scorpion 3-wheeler (it's bright mettalic red) so if you see me there please stop by. It's on from 4pm til 9pm and there is a cafe, shop etc as well as the house and grounds to explore and w…

Anyone think it would be a good idea to introduce rules to prevent twinshock going the same way as P65, or failing that to introduce a specials class where it would be quite ok to ride converted monoshocks, or expensive custom made hybrids built using parts from later bikes?

I have taken quite a bit of interest in the Sammy Miller Classic Trial series, So I thought whilst I'm out of action with a knackered knee, I'd take a look. I was really looked forward to it, although it was some distance to drive. Two and a half hours later I arrived at the Three horseshoes at Wheathill nr Ludlow in Shropshire, as the trial started at 10am I wasn't expecting many riders to be around. And there wasn't any ! but there was a few people walking around (including an observer)also looking somewhat lost and in search of the sections, but nobody could explain where the trial was taking place ! along with a few others I drove and walked around for an hour and lik…

I am intending to build a Bantam trials bike from bits which are beyond any hope of restoration for road use. I have a frame and swinging arm already. Any tips would be appreciated but most importantly, what frame mods are essential. and which are advisory. Also, what are the options for front forks? I am no purist so all suggestions are welcome. I have heard that some Yamaha ones would fit, and more common than say, C15 ones, but am throwing myself at your mercy to advise.
