Hello all, I've got a problem with my front wheel rim it's starting to split at one side of the weld joint I'm trying to figure out the best plan of attack so thought I'd drop a line on here to see if anybody can offer advice or point me in the right direction. I've tried to call allens spares but no answer to source a second hand wheel, I've seen a new one from Beta £245 or is there anywhere that can repair/weld it possibly locally I'm in Cramlington, Northumberland. I've also thought about waiting until a wheel comes up on eBay. Any advice appreciated.

I am going to be going to look at a 2003 Beta Rev3 270. Are there any problem areas I should look for? Also, this is going to be my first "modern" trials bike, so is this a good choice? Also, can you get parts for them? Thanks for the help.

quick question, Is the fuel mix 70:1 same as rev 3 250? Thanks

I have bad knocking at all revs but louder at low revs, sounds like the piston is going up and down sideways,its has already had one new piston in it's life. Any one got any other ideas , or have I answered my own. And has any one tried the new exchange recon barrel and piston from (<mention of this company is not permitted on Trials Central. Please delete this post>)

Just wondering if my rev 3 would have wiring for the lights already?? i have 2006 plastics with lights and would be nice to get them up and running. Thanks Marc

I traded for a 2003 Rev 3 and don't know the engine displacement. Can't find it on the bike anywhere. The owner is an old fella who at first told me it was a 270, then maybe a 250... runs strong but just curious. VIN # *ZD3B900002007114*/ Could it be a 200? Thanks.

hello, Me and my bro drove 400miles yesterday to collect his rev 3 270, We took his out for the first time this afternoon, And it stopped working, We daignosed 'No spark' Coil ok! Got home and afetr reading forums and wat not it seems to be stator, I have done a resistance check and his is cumin up at 158ohm, (Thats is i have tested it correctly) I have checked my rev3 250 and its showing 398ohm, So i have come to the conclusion the stator is broke. Is there any other checks i can make? As we dont want to buy a stator for no reason! What are the best solutions: Re-Coil? Replace? Regards James

Hi, new here, got myself a trails bike last year to ride over the winter as I race mx, basically when I out it away after the winter it wasn't running, iv just got it back out to fix ready for the winter and it started after a few kicks with no petrol in and I think the petrol was even turned off! It cut out and couldn't get it going again even when I put petrol in. When I put petrol in it came p***ing out of one of the pipes going down towards the back shock, guessing this is an overflow? I’ve rigged up a horn with my indicator lights to make the bike road legal and replaced the headlight bulb which had long died a death. The indicators and horn are working, but the headlight is not working. Does anyone have any advice. I’m pretty much a novice with this stuff.

Please help, My Son has a Beta Rev 50! the poor little engine struggles at the bottom end picking itself up! Can anyone advise on tuning etc? Or is it a characteristic of the engine? Spark plug ? Spark plug gap? Mixture screw setting? Oil mixture? Any other advise? Thanks Chris

So I've had my carb ultra sonic cleaned, fitted it to bike and it's finally running Basically want to get it ready to ride on Friday after being stored for over a year what do you guys advise? Was going to change oil, coolant, filter etc which oil should I be using? And how much? Also do they have a oil filter? Where the silencer meets the front pipe, should there be some sort of clamp holding them together as mine doesn't? Also the arm for the throttle cable onto of the carb is snapped on the end near the nut, should I replace? And should the arm be screwed tight into the top of the carb? Regards

I was under the impression the Rev3 2001-2006 pastics are interchangeable, but from what i can work out the front mud gaurds on the 2004 2005 & 2006 are mounted differently to 2001, 2002 & 2003. I WAS going to put 2004 plastics and stickers on my 2003 but i'm guessing i cant do this now?

My 04' rev3 270 is doing my head in! It doesn't seem to rev out, like the chokes on all the time. I cleaned the carb out and re set the float levels, the air filter is cleaned and oiled every week. there was a little slit in the rubber connecting the air box to the carb but i replaced it, and it worked well for one trial, then at the weekend it sounded like a fantic 80 and didn't perform much better. any suggestions?

Hello iv had my rev 3 for a few months now and just doing some of the mods to the carb like brass tang level and changing the breather pipes. I would like to know of there is a good set up for the uk I have a 150 main and 30 small is this ok or is there a better setup for the uk. Also how many turns out on the fixture screw would it be if I changed to a prefered setup. Many thanks Darren
