Im just buying a 250 rev 3 from a dealer. While taking a test drive I noticed the rear brake was non existant. I pointed this out to the mechanic who said he would see to it. He said he had done all the usual things i.e bleed ,clean calipers etc . At this time he thought he had it sorted ( 80% ) Another road test and they went again compeletly. There is no sign of leakage. Can anyone help this poor frustrated man cheers leggins

I've just removed the horn from my new ('06) Rev3 and now the kill button doesn't work. All I did was remove the headlight unit, disconnect the horn block connector, remove all the horn gubbins (buzzer, wires and button) and put everything back together. Bike starts and runs fine, lights work, everything works apart from the kill switch. I printed out the wiring diagram from the owner's manual PDF, traced all the wires and everything looks OK to me - for flip's sake, all I've done is disconnect 2 wires!!!! Thoughts anyone?

Looking for those aftermarket front fender mounts that were machined from Billet and they were two pieces to make them easy to change. This used the same mounts as the 99 Techno. Anyone know where they are available at? The bike is in Germany, so a European mail order site woudl be great. Thanks. Al Bechard

Lost a bolt from sump guard. Looks to me like I need an M7 15 countersunk. What's strange about M7? Doesn't seem to be listed with the other sizes. Any idea where I'm likely to find one at fairly short notice. I can get away without a countersink for the odd trial I suppose. Are these definitely M7 anyone, or have I fat fingered the measurements here? Cheers, Gaz And is it me, or does this little bike rattle itself to pieces? Runs great, but has an automatic renewal scheme. Nothing on the bike is over a year old, as it will have vibrated off by then.

Hi, I've found a Rev 3 that I'm interested. It's had it's bottom end overhauled last year but it didn't have a new piston as it didn't need it. It goes OK but even the owner admits it that now it could do with a new piston. It also needs a new rear tyre and a set of wheel bearings. He wants

Hi, I'm going to look at one of these on Sunday that's just had a top-end rebuild. Bloke says that when it's been stood for a while the water pump can take a while to get going and is a little 'noisy' at first. Is this correct, or is he trying to hide a problem? Cheers,

I'm an Enduro rider and I thought I'd pick up a bike for some cross training and exercise. First off, the exercise part was right; my hands are pretty sore. I'm fortunately in a position to ride everyday. I've got a few questions: Currently running Motul 600 at 50:1, this sound about right? Clutch drags and engages very sharp, any way around this? Shifting is also pretty rough and neutral is very hard to find? I'm thinking some fresh oil will probably cure the last two. Also is 5PSI good for the tires? So far I've only had a few minor offs, nothing too severe. The throttle really gets sensitive once I'm up in the revs. Thanks, Grant

My daughters 2004 Beta 125 is trying to do the Michael Jackson "moon walk". The bike starts fine, runs about 20 minutes, when it warms up good it suddenly bogs down as if you completely covered the air intake. She says sometimes it just quits, sometimes it runs backwards. When we attemp to restart it, it wants to run backwards. After about cool down period it will restart and run fine for another 20 minutes and then repeat the process. We have tried advancing and retarding the stator, and we have replaced the "black box". Has any body seen this before? Any suggestions on a solution? Please help...trials is hard enough going forward!

Hi all, I would prefer to used PJ1 Oils; as this is what previous owner used and is advised by JLI - BUT, I am having difficulty finding/buying PJ1 Oils in Manchester. # Can anyone advise where I can get it in MCR # Also, can you recommend other oils instead (e.g I have been reading that ELF is the best!) To save mixing oils in future I would like to decide on WHAT is best for each particular application so I know where I am upto - if anyone can advise on each I would be grateful. Thanks in advance.

After several years riding a succession of Betas (following a brief and unhappy start on a GasGas), I find myself in the exraordinarily rare (for me!) position of being able to buy myself a new bike. I mean proper new. So, after examining the pros and cons of each make and model in the context of the type of riding I do (very mediocre Clubman B standard in perpetually muddy North Yorkshire), talking to many different people and riding as many different bikes as possible I have this very day slapped down a wad of Melvins in full payment for.... ...another Beta. Sorry guys, looks like I'll be polluting this forum with dumb-ass questions and cynical curmudgeon-ness for th…
