Willst surfing ebay in italy last week I stumbled upon a twinshock Beta 125cc. Needless to say I had to buy it (it woz cheap) and now I need to pick it up next time I visit Turin. Does anybody have Information on this or the 200 version? A 200 barrel and piston would also be jolly good if anyone has one lying abaout! Lee

Just picked up a very nice 1999 beta techno i understand these are supposed to be better than the 00 rev3. is there any pointer to look for and what generally gos wrong on them? The carb leaks fuel abit like most betas. the bike has not seen alot of work at all and its reflected in its condition How much do you think a nice 1999 is worth have a gess and then ill tell you what i paid for it James

Hi all, I'm new here so forgive me if I have posted to wrong place. I have Beta Rev3 2005 270cc I have noticed my engine is noisey (cluncky) when I pull the clutch lever in and is not working fully when I have the bike on a stand and in gear. To my unprofessional ear it sound like the clutch is not working properly when engaged and it is nearly jumping into gear (I may be totally wrong). This noise is present (but less loud when in nuetral). The bike rides OK (for a novice anyway) BUT if there is something wrong I would rather sort it now while I have time (and incase I can prevent costly damage). Hello Beta fans. I was just wondering if the 2005 or 2006 Betas have any quirks or things that commonly break on them or need attention from the get go or after some time is put on them? Any comments are welcomed! Thanks!

Anyone know what jetts should be fitted in a Dellorto VHST 26 fitted to an 04 Rev3 200? The carb is one of the Beta tuning parts and I would think it comes jetted for the 250 or 270. The jets fitted are as follows: A S35 B 270K C 60 D 270 The one that holds the bowl on is a 170 and the needle is a D49.

Got a bit carried away filling up the petrol tank on my new 06 beta, and it overflowed ,wiped it off thought no more about it. now looking at the bike in the garage the black centre graphic on the tank and one side beta graphic have lifted off. Is this normal?? . where can I get new graphics, can I buy them seperately. any tips on putting new ones on. dont spill your petrol. also anyone fitted a softer spring in there carb mines a bit snappy.

What's the spoke size for a 270? I want to get a spoke wrench.

What are the major differences both technically and ridewise between the 2005 & 2006 Beta 270? I rode a 2006 over the weekend and it just felt perfect. I was wondering if it was light years ahead of the 2005 model. The reason I ask, I found a 2005 model with about 6 hrs on it for a price that I can swing. The new '06 is just out of my range. What do you think? Be honest....

I cant belive it i have a new bike. What a difference from riding a 97 techno?

As any one had problems with rear shocker flap i have only rode my new bike for 8 hours and gone through a standard flap and a heavy duty one. Seems like rear wheel is catching it i have adjusted rear spring and damper settings as i am not on the slim side! Also chain is adjusted corectly

After all of the dumb-ass questions I've been posting recently re. smoky bikes and oil seals etc. I've decided to bite the bullet and get my engine professionally rebuilt. Is there anything I need to know or any gotchas to be aware of while removing the engine? Recommended sequence of steps? All advice gratefully received ('cos once this is done I can stop filling up this forum with waffle!)

I have a problem. Today i was riding my Beta techno and i went over a log and heard a bang and my mudguard dropped and hit my wheel. At first i thought it was one simple bolt that had snapped as it had done this before but on closer inspection part of the weird linkage which is connected to the swing arm had been wearing away on one side and my landing after the log had sheared this bit of the swingarm off. So there was 2 small holes where a weird looking bolt of some kind goes and this is as part of the centre of the front of the swing arm. Unfortunately the swing arm is all one bit and welded together so it is looking like a new swing arm. Has anyone had this problem…

Hi guys, Right major crisis time, the triangular linkage that goes on the shocker, swinging arm and lower linkages is absolutly shot at, does anyone know where to get a secondhand one for a 1998 techno, or how much are they new. More info please Has anyone ever had a rattle from the engine, similar in sound to a dry clutch rattle, but not as loud. My 05 250 started to do it on Sunday, interestingly it stopped when the bike was pointing downhill, regardless whether the clutch was in/out. It would also stop on its own accord just ticking over but would start again if i revved the engine. I thought it was gonna seize on me but there is loads of compression and the bike starts everytime. Any ideas lads? Cheers in advance Steve
