Anyone know which way up the head gasket goes on a Rev 3 please ? I'm trying to change one, have the new one, but can't make my mind up which way up to position it, or if it matters. Never seen a head gasket quite like it as it's springy and has indents in it around the water channels. Head and Barrel mating surfaces look about the same to me. Most baffling. Another "slight" problem - Is there a recommended torque setting for the head bolts ? Don't know how I'll get a torque wrench on some of the bolts but ..... I went to fire up my 02 Rev3 270 and had no spark. Just for background the bike has run great. Ran it a week ago and turn it off. About 2 months ago I put in a new stator because I buggered it up taking off the flywheel. So here's what I've done so far. No spark a the spark plug. No spark from sparkplug wire. no power out of coil Checked the red wire coming out of the store. Power coming out of there. Checked the wires that plug into the coil. Just barely a reading on the volt meter. I called Beta USA and they said it might be the black box as they hardly ever seen a coil go bad. does any one no of any were i can get after market front and rear mudgaurds for my rev3 2001 ones i have got are the original ones but thay are so brittle thay will snap if you look at them the wrong way.

I just found this on ebay beta I dont know though as i think hes made it look like this to cover up something but i dont know what. I asked him what he wanted for it and waiting for a reply Any Views or ideas???

Hi All I'm after assistance with a problem that occered on Sunday while out trialling. I started the bike after walking a section when it just died, kicked it over again, it ran for a few seconds then died again. Thought it could be fuel so turned it onto reserve waited a few seconds then kicked it into life. It ran for a few sections more until it died again. Getting plenty of fuel, kicked it back into life. I rode a few more sections, where I stopped the motor to chat to a marshall where I couldn't start it no matter what I did. I thought that maybe the kill switch was faulty (this is a 2 wire job wired directly to the coil, is that ok) so pulled off one of the wires, …

Bought myself a new 06 Beta first new bike since a 240 Fantic and I'm as pleased as punch with it. But last Sunday took a tumble and scratched the frame high up in the petrol tank. Has anyone come up with a magic solution to make the alloy frame look pretty again ?? Stormy

I always had this question ever since the newer rev3's came out even though I ride GG. With the rear shock being off center on the swingarm does that result in different handling(like weight towards one side) and/or does it stress the swingarm the wrong way?

young guy managed to bend the Beta handlebars :-( . So question is what to replace originals with & what rise? Beta genuine, Renthal, or Apico? All seem ~ about the same cost Are the std Beta '01 200cc bars 5" rise? What sort of sweep back compared to other brands? fwiw Renthal web site says 660-01 as a size if I'm reading the table correctly. Is higher (or lower) "better"? He is 5'8" TIA for any info /. help

Anyone know what bearings are used in the swinging arm and head stock of a 2004 Rev3 200? I would like to pick up a set from my local bearing supplier but I don't want to pull the old ones out before I have replacements. Any help appreciated.

I found my swing-arm bolt had stripped. So I ordered a new one and was wondering how tight to make it? Is there a torque speck on this aluminum bolt? Thanks, DMX

Has anyone heard if beta plan a fourstroke?

I picked up a brand new Beta 200 yesterday. The dealer told me not to park it facing down hill as the 'carbs on these are prone to flooding'. I took the bike for a run up and down a few small hills and petrol began to pour out of the carb over flow. Even when I got the bike into the car park and on the level, the petrol continued to pour out until I turned off the petrol tap. Has anyone else had this problem?
