Hi All, In a bit of a quandry at the minute, I've got a 2002 270 which has so far cost me an arm and a leg in parts, mainly due to the electrical problems on older beta's. So I'm looking to buy a newer model. Do you think it's best to buy new or buy one that's a year old or so and let someone else take the depreciation/vat hit? RPM are doing 0% finance on 2006 REV-3's at the minute and I'm seriously tempted. And if anyone's interested in a 2002 270 with new electrics give me a shout

Right........... friend of mine, a good inter rider, recently got a '06 250 after a year on a '05 270. The theory was he didn't want the all out grunt of the 270 so opted for the 250. However it's a terribly buzzy engine, seems to have a powerband just over 1/3 throttle, you know, just where you don't it when in a river or on anything remotely slippery...... He hasn't done a thing yet, is going to try a slow-action throttle this week. Has anyone else found this problem with this bike?? I rode it yesterday for 15 minutes and I was bo****ed after riding it. First gear keeps you in around that powerband, then second gear is just too quick in the tight stuff, so we're looki…

I would like some specs on it,(displacement etc.) and a photo if anyone has one they could post! I'm trying to move into a more modern bike in small steps, but I'll never get rid of my trusty 240 fantic... anyhelp apriciated Thanks, Glenn

I am looking to buy a tr34 in the next few months and was wondering if there are any common faults I should be looking for when viewing a bike. Also where would be the best places to find one, I've been keeping an eye on e bay but rarely see any for sale. Any advice would be great. Cheers Ross

I recently set up my carb on my rev 3 250 2001,as explained by Billy T found on a previous post. since setting up i'm having trouble starting when cold. Have i over adjusted or under adjusted, or done something else wrong. Also is there a preset setting for the screw to the left of the idle screw. Any help would be greatly appreciated. (the carb has been cleaned and new air filter fitted the fault only been on since i adjusted)

just taken my son to his first trial,bike lasted 2 sections.At the start of the third it died,it will restart but only at tickover when opening throttle it just backfires and stalls.We changed plug cleaned carb, sprayed wd40 everywhere we could think of.Anyone got any ideas as to cause,does this fit stator symptoms many thanks Gary

Hi, Has anyone any advice/tips on fitting new spokes on my 97 Techno? I have several missing both front and rear. It looks like you can't get the new nipples in without removing others first .. sounds like a recipe for disaster. Any ideas would be really appreciated. Thanks.

Guys...Has anybody drilled the rivets and then re-packed the muffler? I'm just about to do it, but was wondering if you get any surprises!!!! I was going to drill the rivets and replace with 10G stainless self tappers.... OK?

Any one know if beta rev3 piston and cyls are the same as techno ones?

Does anyone know the info on the carb for the beta techno 1995?? Need to buy a new carb....this one is leaking like hell!!! So need to purchase a new one....so whats the model of the carb and the model number...all the stuff they would ask for to purchase a new one.....cheers Ben

what sort of money do you think i should advertise my 2002 rev3 for? and has anyone got any selling tips? Im going to try my best to get a 4rt or a late 315 if i cant afford the 4rt Many Thanks James

Ok, I made a $350 mistake. Pulled the flywheel to check the stater and screwed it up. Didn't realize the holes for the puller bolts went all the way through and as I was getting everything snugged up a turned the bolts in instead of the center puller bolt. Moved the flywheel while tightening the center bolt on the puller and DUHHH, broke the wires on the stator. When I took the stater off it was adjusted so that the head of the bolt was about 1/2 of it's diameter from the center on the groove. It looked like it was at one time directly in the middle of the groove (am I making sense here?). I was wondering if when out of the factory it was set dead center (where I c…

Do you still have to remove the flywheel cover and clean/dry out after every wet ride? Are the carb flooding problems cured? Are the electrics sorted? Son is considering buying one it's between a beta and a scorpa and i can see i'll be left doing the maintainance

From a PR on another site, I see Steve Saunders will be on a Beta next year. Also Repsol to oil the UK Beta team.........does this mean orange wheels for Betas now?

Please could any body give me some advice on how to go about tightening the spokes on the front wheel of a 2002 Rev 3. When you turn the nipple the whole spoke turns around. What is the trick???? Happy new year and thanks for reading.

Once again my faithful 240 pro ignition trigger failed and I have no source for another... So my question is does the 90 Zero I'm waiting on have a better ignition ? and are parts for the ign. still available ? Because every trigger I install in my 240 seems to last about 18 hrs. of use then turns into a open circuit and I still have never found a new one !!! Thanks Glenn
