I am looking to purchase a new silencer for my 01 rev3. BVM moto do an after market one or I can go for an original. 1. Does any body have any experience of the BVM one? 2. Does any one have an opinion on which to go for? 3. Any more options? Cheers!

Well, both me and the bike actually but it's the bike I'm asking about here. My Rev3 ('03 250) seems excessively smoky - even when hot and on idle it's puffing out blue smoke. I run my fuel at 80:1 using semi-synthetic and I've cleaned the carb, repacked the silencer, replaced the air filter etc. etc. - all the usual stuff and the bike runs perfectly apart from this. It's certainly not a chronic problem and I've seen bikes that are far worse but it's a bit of a worry nonetheless. Any ideas? Might a change of oil brand work (I'm using Ipone semi)?

Hi All, This may seem like a daft question, but how do you tell the difference between a 250 and 270 rev 3? short of taking the engine to bits. Are there any external differences? Cheers Barnesy

Could anyone tell me what the flat head type screw is called on the top of my front forks, and i only have one, the other is missing (do i need a replacement?).If it is to set the suspension, which is what i'm guessing as it clicks when altered how do i go about setting it correctly for my weight (12 stone) Beta rev-3 250cc 2000, upside down style forks Any help would be appreciated chaps

help,what gear box oil to use for beta 200 04 ?, how to check oil level ?, and something totally different those settings on top of forks ,what do they meen,what sort of setting is best?.

I'm going to get a 2006 Beta 125 soon and am just wondering how to keep it nice. My first few rides I'll probably take it really easy but I can imagine after a bit I'll resume my usual riding style (slamming it into rocks). When I first get it I know to give various parts a good smearing of grease but how do I run the engine in properly? I'm also going to give it a couple of sheets of technosel and some fork protectors for cosmetic reasons. I'm really looking forward to buying it as I've worked very hard and saved alll my money and I've never had a new bike before Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated

I have a beta rev3 2001 250cc, does anyone know where i can get new front and rear mudgaurds

Bike's a 01 270 rev3, and the clutch is totally on/off. It barely slips, grabs instantly. It's very nice for steps, but (clubman) turns are a pain. The bike hasnt been ridden much. Using atf in the gearbox. Going to change that to elf htx740, and change the friction plates. Softer springs would be good? The clutch doesnt drag, nor slip. Adjusting the lever's position helps a bit, but not enough. So my bet would be getting a smaller master cylinder. But from where? Ideas?

Went to a trial with Lanarkshire club and tryed to start my bike and my left hand crankcase split . Does any one know why this would happen.

has anybody had trouble with rev 80 beta electrics mine has just started to play up when i start it it runs for a minute then stops reving and missing as though it has a carb full of water when i change the plug it runs ok for a wile now it has gone of song completly and is stalling and not reving out does this sound like elecs

Hi, I have just bought a 1997 techno 250 and would be very grateful if someone could tell me of service intervals (what needs doing when e.g oil changes, piston rings etc. etc.) and also if and where i could buy a workshop manual for it. All help will be greatly appreciated.

My clutch has started slipping badly in higher gears and been advised to replace the plates. Before doing this does anyone have any ideas what else may be the cause.
